Nighthawk has been trying to explain that for several years, some are just fixated on having a number assigned to a line.
I prefer calling each line by the centreman's name.

The deadline for group 2 free agents like D Nikita Tryamkin to sign and play this season is over.

Tryamkin can begin discussing a contract with the #Canucks on May 1st for next year.

Is there not a reserve list exemption? Won't be first time RD gets something wrong.

But either way its best they sign Tryamkin after the expansion draft. So he's not exposed and see what he brings to camp.

Awaiting confirmation from the NHL, but sources indicate the NHL Draft will be remain in its originally scheduled July slot. There were numerous obstacles, including NHLPA related concerns that seemingly trumps the push by several NHL GM’s to move the Draft to January or 2022.

With more capable wingers like Hogs, and Podz coming, plus JV and Gaudette finding their games, it might be time to do 3 centers deep with Petey, JTM & Bo.

The chemistry can be shifted around. For example, I've seen BB play well with all 3 above. But not with Sutter. Like all wingers who play with center Sutts they don't produce.

Sutter should be playing on a line with Beags right now. Not against bringing him back but see the Flames over paying.

That said Sutts should be traded before TDL. Contenders always can use what he brings for play-off run and he's the ultimate no risk rental. Same could be said for Benn as OJ can replace now.

These moves shouldn't affect the outside chance Canucks have of climbing into a playoff appearance. Pearson is a 50/50 move as Podz will come too late and you need both to be 3 lines deep.

Power or Edvinson would be extremely nice, would be fine with Daniil Chayka or Brandt Clarke as well.
