Geez, kinda surprised I haven't see a bunch of armchair GM's suggesting we dump Petterson at the deadline. 100% winning percentage with him out of the lineup. - Nelson19777

The CBA was pretty clear, the Hockey Related Revenue has to reach 4.8 billion, or the cap stays flat during the duration of agreement. |

Miller should be 1C. Elias 2 C, Horvat plays a shutdown role as 3C. Worth a shot. Bizarrely they have never tried it. Sorry but Miller is a better Center than Pouty - CanuckDon
Petey w/ Miller > Petey separate from Miller.
The numbers don’t actually show Miller is better “as the C”. |

But we won a few games this way!
New shiny thing and all that.
JTM is back in favor.
Virtanen is worth more than Sam Bennett, maybe we shouldn't trade him.
EP40 is forgotten.
How long till Pearson becomes the scapegoat i wonder?

lol lots happening over the past three games...
#teamwhiner in shambles so not much from the crybabies...
Miller is now our #1 C after being accused of the locker room problem and trade bait to get assets back. Miller is totally ready to take on the best players in the game with TOI and line-match-ups at 1C...
JV and Gaudette have great years ahead of them as we have seen in 3-4 games.
Had some trade suggestions on EP (technically a #1 pick) to bolster our D in the short term.
And now apparently we don't need line designations anymore players can just play wherever the f*uck they want and won't have a problem with it lol
So since we're sure Bo won't have an issue with Sutter (or Miller) taking the '#1C' role and the TOI and matches that go along with that role...at least that will give us depth and 4 'scoring lines' which is perfect. Bo should be perfectly happy as the '4LC' as we need that depth.
1 - Sutter
2 - Miller
3 - Petey
4 - Horvat
Christ that's 4 scoring lines if I ever saw them...

I still think the Canucks should explore JTM trade options. The Canucks window will be opening when his next contract is needed, so resigning him (and Bo at the same time) only to have him start to decline on it won't be as useful to the Canucks long term.
Trading him this offseason or next, for someone like Byram, shores up the D and gets a player with a window that fits better with the current cores with a more manageable cap hit. |

So much change in a week!
This is a better team with EP40 playing, I’m anxious to see him back. Much less concerned about what we call the line he plays on, and whether he or Miller takes the majority of face offs.
Notably, they have been much more defensively responsible the last ~4-5 games, though Bubble Demko has been key to the wins. Hot goaltending is great, but it will be good to get to a stage where it isn’t necessary to have it in order to be competitive and gain points.
Playoff odds still under 6% according to Hockey-Reference.

That's a bold move, trading JTM, given the lack of top 6 depth we have.
I'm not sure you could recoup what we paid for him last year though (a 1st, 3rd and minor league goalie).
Edit: had a look at Colorado's cap space and they don't have much space either. We'd have to take some capspace back to make a deal.
JTM, Benn and a prospect for Byram and Saad?
I dunno. |

I don't think it'd be wise to trade him this TDL – would probably be more of a summer/next year move. Colorado has a good chunk of cap opening this summer, but have to resign Jost, Landeskog, and Makar. Definitely ways to get it done, though.
And I think JTM's value has only gone up. A PPG top line winger/center on a team friendly 5.25 mil contract for another two years? That's tons of value. Especially for a team like Colorado whose window is open right now with their core still being young enough that they haven't had to lose anyone to cap/contract issues.
I'd venture to trade JTM + OJ for Byram + one of their forward prospects (not their top one, but like #3) + maybe a contract to even money out? |

Lol not calling him a 3C. Just thinking Elias may need to be sheltered until he gets his 5 on 5 play back. Sucks for Bo |

I doubt it matters to Bo, he has had an offensive winger on his line for 1 season, when Brock played on his wing.
It wouldn't matter if they go with those 3 guys at centre or keep it structured to how it has been, Bo will still play18-22 hard minutes a game. |

It's alright, I'm not even sure we're numbering the lines anymore.

Jets are going to be without Beaulieu for quite awhile, that is an inexperienced defense.
They were already looking for a LHD, according to some insiders.
They might have been the team enquiring about Schmidt.
