Carol maybe you can answer on this mixed up season when the Canucks could've/can sign Tryamkin?

His KHL season is done. But his contract is not up until May 1. RD says Tryamkin must have been signed by now to be able to play this season.

So what are the options?

This is a better team with EP40 playing, I’m anxious to see him back. Much less concerned about what we call the line he plays on, and whether he or Miller takes the majority of face offs.

Notably, they have been much more defensively responsible the last ~4-5 games, though Bubble Demko has been key to the wins. Hot goaltending is great, but it will be good to get to a stage where it isn’t necessary to have it in order to be competitive and gain points.

Not sure if its Demko being hot or just steady with, a settled down, tighter D in front of him.

Petey is no Pouty despite the know it all opinions. I agree he's huge for team success. But like teams that lost their crutch stars for a stretch they find their groove and grow.

Now, many seem excited about the possibility of 3 scoring lines; anchored by JTM,Bo and Petey.

It's alright, I'm not even sure we're numbering the lines anymore.

I’d like to give him another look.

It’s a totally different team now.
I’d give him the benefit of the doubt that he’s changed as well.
There will be a spot for him to win on D next year (if he wants).

Show's you f'd NHL is to bar a player for its season when he signed, a 1yr contract, in July 2020, when there was no known NHL season.

That said why is it news now if he can't sign until May?
