The way to fix Provorov is to clean up the team defensive issues. It is the silver bullet for this team to maximize it's current potential.

I agree on Provorov but I think the team defensive issues are a big contributor to his struggles. I think if they could clean that up team wide, it would help a number of player improve including Hart, Provorov and Myers. This team has offensive talent but they're too easy to score against.

Zamula and York most definitely have value to other teams. York especially.

I wouldn’t move one. I’d be more open to Zamula being available if it got the right piece for a run if we weren’t in an expansion draft year, but we are, so it would have to be something that blows me away to consider it. I doubt that’s on the horizon.

I don’t wanna cut loose Myers or Player X to Seattle for nothing

So do you keep said players if it becomes an issue? Look at what the coach said about Myers; maybe that applies to some forwards as well.

The younger players have to make that become part of there DNA. It takes time. I am fine with benching players that consistently don't play the right way. TK was already benched once.

With hart. Yeah it’s not all on him as the team needs to be better. But goalie is a head game position too. He is young. Price went through the same thing. At harts age most goalies are just becoming ahl backups.

Agree that one or two games isnt a streak. Only way i could see argued is shutouts. Like counting periods or minutes.

Look at the schenn deal. With cap I would expect salary to go back. Not saying for doughty but an upgrade. You said a single player trade would create a hole. Is trading picks considered creating a hole on the team? I don’t think it is just due to our prospect pool an free agency. Wouldn’t create a hole on the current team. But would improve it.

Also Im not saying do it all care free and go back to what we did before. But at some point we have to do that deal that helps push us forward. It may be this year or next. Sometimes the trade you make this year has a greater impact next. There is an element or two we are missing.

I agree overall better coverage and play will help Provy, I also believe Provy playing better would help the overall play. I have never seen him bobble the puck so much, even when there is no one around

Hey MJL. Hope all is well. And, yes, we have reached that point already. It doesn't take very long, does it.

My issue isn't so much with wanting more toughness on the team. My issue is with the way people always invoke Ed Snider when talking about team toughness. I'd love this team to play with more aggressiveness, but I'm not really concerned about fighting or retribution.

The only reason Gus would have any value in a trade is to free up cap space to make a deal possible, its no real impact to the receiving team since Gus is a FA after this year.
