But I do think we will get way more value for Bennett if we sell at the TDL & fck eat 50% of the salary if that nets you a late 1st from a top team. Late 1st's may be more expendable this year.

I think Bennett will do a better job in a Sutter system. Bennett is all crash and bang. We have seen what the kid can do when he is motivated.

The reports are that he's upset he was still not moved up the lineup after playing well in the playoffs - he sat the last two games (what's that all about) - now he's back on the 4th line, as a winger. Nice start there with the new coach.

Ok my friend? we'll see how he "turns his game around". Sam's going to have to make the most of the 5 minutes of ice time he'll get tonight. Or hope Sutter gets upset at someone else, so he could move Sam up the lineup.

It makes absolutely zero sense for Sam to remain in Calgary. It's better for him to go somewhere else, perform during the regular season, so his new team could plan to fit his desired raise into the team budget.

I think people outside of Calgary’s definition of Bennett turning it around and actual flames fans definition of him doing it are two different things.

Are we disappointed he didn’t become the player we hoped he would’ve after being selected 4th overall? Absolutely. But if those outsiders think we believe he’s suddenly going to become a top six point producer after 5 years in the league I think I can speak for most of us when I say we do not. The fact is I believe most of of us are satisfied with the player he did become, we just want him to be more consistent. I don’t personally care if he doesn’t put up the points he does in the playoffs during regular season but if he can bring that style of play he delivers I would take him on my team 7 days of the week
