And I’d love Campbell to come in and push him/take over if possible. I’ll be battling you about goals against him too.
- Garnie

With Campbell, me too! I do think Fred needs that.

I'm standing by....if that fu2ker would ever stay healthy.

Totally get that...and I see it too.

But I am concerned that we finally have a team that can get it down but Fred is going to be the weak link.

There are a few of us piling on Fred and I think he deserves it right now. You may not and that's cool too.

When Simmonds is back, this team is deep-ish and could make a good run. I want the Cup! I don't want to be crying about softies, bad reffing, blah, blah.

Fred is my current concern....and a few others too. And, IMHO, he's proving us right more than he's proving you right.

GLG.

nevermind, sooner or later people are going to be forced to admit he is a problem.

bad bounce
defelection
not enough shots against
Opponents were blocking his view
shot was impossible to save
Matthews needs to score more
Playoffs are hard.
Those kind of shots are difficult for anyone to stop
Dermott
too many shots against
Defenseman didn't take the pass away
Leafs shoot at the goalie's chest on all their chances.
Ok, that was a softie, but that was the only one and the ones that happen in every other game don't count in this game.

I don't mind the way CC is assessing the goals, seems fair.

The problem I have is when nothing is apparently stoppable or so-so. It is also the acceptance, that a bad goal or two, every game, is OK somehow.

At some point bad goals, and even so-so goals just mean the goalie isn't good.

Maybe the horrible Leafs offense (which is one of the top couple in the league) wouldn't hit the opponents crest so much, if the opposing goalies weren't in a good position from having good lateral movement, being able to read the play, and an understanding of where they are on the ice.

It seems like we need to score 4 or 5 goals when Freddy plays. And Campbell can’t seem to stay healthy. Goaltending is our Achilles heel.

Why didn’t you fellers keep Lehner?
- DrunkenCanuck

Pretty sure it was just a lay over flight from Sweden, or where ever the fu3k he's from, on his way to Vegas baby! ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

The Campbell thing is a concern for sure. They really don't have a good choice now.

Sabres are sellers. Ullmark? He’s doing a lot than Freddy and he plays for the (frank)ing Sabres.

Dubas plans around Neiuverth but passes on Lehner?

Maybe he needs to start wearing real glasses instead of the fake hipster ones?

The term soft goal has been around since the game was invented.

You think that was the net he was trying to score on?

That young feller learned a valuable lesson last summer- pounding on the tempered glass of a security vehicle will either hurt your fist, or hurt your wrist.

You’re right number ten. He needs to capitalize on his career now, he’s a bit better version of Kessel. The drop off will be quick. But you won’t have to see it when he’s in AZ

That game was brutal. Where was the team that dominated the last two games again the same team earlier this week.

Wouldn't need to if they played like the previous two games.

They had like 40 shots in those games and gave up 20. Tonight they gave up 30 and only had 20. They didn't test their backup at all. Complete no show

If they played like the in the previous two games they win that game easily even if they give up 5.

Agree, horrible game by everyone. Coach was awful, goalie was awful, offense was unwilling to shoot at a backup goalie,Only players willing to shoot were Nylander and Muzzin. That penalty at the end by Keefe was butal. Officiating was terrible but you don't do that.

Anyone else have that awful Leafy feeling that there will be zero effort tonight and we lose 5-2?

One ray of light in this mess of a game:

I saw Nylander backcheck.

Like a freakin' unicorn springing from the g-spot of Atlantis, I saw Nylander backcheck.
