This team needs structure and identity. Whatever coach can bring them that. |

Sabres fan here. It's weird - I've rarely seen a team that keeps making the wrong decision almost every time. We try to make the right move, oh Lord how we try, but everything we try does not work. For 10 years now.
This team needs a hockey czar. But I'm pretty sure even if they think they finally hired the right guy for that position, somehow it'd go horribly wrong. It would work elsewhere, just not here. We're cursed.

There are rumors that Ralph Krueger may be moving into another position soon as well, which would leave the Sabres without a coach...
So addition by subtraction, then. |

Guest Writer: Eichel Out For "Foreseable Future" End of the Line for Krueger? -Eklund - Eklund
At some point, you have to realize getting rid of coaches and GMs at the rate the Sabres are doing points to an issue is higher up in the organization. Until that gets addressed, either by adding a competent layer with full authority/autonomy between the owner and the GM/team (putting the owner(s) at a much further distance) or actually having new ownership, the situation will not get better. |

The Sabres should all but tank the rest of the season, and trade Hall's worthless, overpaid arse. I know they won't be selling Hall at a high point. Firing Krueger alone isn't the answer. |

Agreed 100%. The Sabres are stuck on the similar treadmill to the ones the Toronto team was on for a decade (when owned by a pension fund) or the Islanders (during the Milbury era). Looking up at management, the players see the team is in disarray, and this is reflected in their play. Until ownership implements a professional and modern management structure, filled with knowledgeable hockey people (obviously this would prohibit the likes of Kim Pegula or Kevyn Adams), the team will continue to falter. |

One of the top 3 markets in the league... Fans deserve way way better.
I guarantee you pick damn near any Sabres fan out of the stands or off the street and they'd know how to fix this team way quicker than anybody they bring in. |

Dr. Phil is the only answer. This teams problems are more mental than anything. A talented team with many struggling players = Dr. Phil to the rescue. |

Well no easy answers to fix this mess but they need to clean house. New president, gm and coach. This season is a write off. Embrace the tank then let the firings begin |
