Agreed. That first one was not a good one for him but he corrected himself. That’s all you can ask for. Going to take him some time to adjust to NA. - Cptmjl
With his speed post to post and quick reflexes you'd think he'd be dominate in the SO. However I had the same feeling you did once it went to OT. I don't have confidence in Sorokin. I am expecting that to change, but it may take some time.

I think this year will be a learning process for Sorokin. Just being a backup has to be a new experience.

Yeah he’s not there yet. I think the team is playing really well in front of him and making up for some of his short comings. He has some good coaches that are working with him so I think that along with his obvious talent he could be a solid goaltender for us not too long from now... Hopefully...
Yep. Hoping this doesn’t turn into a bad situation... - Cptmjl
I asked earlier in thread but didn’t Crosby go on protocol after playing us a couple weeks back? They didn’t impact the entire Penguin roster. Just saying. Hoping for the best but it might just be protocol.
So I missed the entire 2nd and 3rd. How’d it go? - Wildschwein
They had a bunch of chances but couldn't cash in. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but if they played a better team they would have lost.
At least they got the two points that they needed. They did great down this stretch which give them a little bit of breathing room for the tough schedule coming up.

Two words black wood. Or maybe it’s wedge wood. Either way it was big...in preventing us from winning in regulation. But we can revalued in the end. BTW been meaning to ask, have you always had Islanders as your team in profile. I mostly post from my phone - like now - but notice on my laptop the other day.

Suspected that’d be the case. I’m sure all the sudden roster changes unsettled them somewhat.

I'm not quite sure if his was due to a test or contact tracing. One thing here is we now have two players pulled due to protocol which means they're certainly related. One happened just as the player was about to take warmups. It's quite possible other players will soon follow.

Haven’t always had the Islanders as my team, no. Grew up an Oilers fan, mostly because that’s who my Dad rooted for. Then slowly but surely I was seduced by the degenerates that grace this board.

I can appreciate that. Oil were so dynamic in the 80s w Gretzky/tik/ Coffey/Fuhr/mess/Andersen etc. Those were some great days to be isles and oil fans. Isles went through mil bury and snow years and finally recovered. Oil have, with all their talent , have yet to. You’ve been here so long you’ve always been a fan just stuck me that you hand isles as your team.

Well they’re certainly my team now. It sucks that the Islanders only visit Edmonton once a year, but I try never to miss that game. It’s become a bit of a pilgrimage.

You say pilgrimage like it’s an undertaking to get to Edmonton. How far are you from Rogers Place?
