Looking back on last night's game I think it was an even game and the isles were better at 5 on 5 samsonov just made big saves in the 1st. 2 caps goals were ppg and barzals penalty was the difference. They weren't as sharp in the 2nd as they were in the first and the officiating was terrible both ways

Josh Bailey needs to be taken off the pp. he slows it down and is directly responsible for making it bad more so then any other player on the team. It’s plain as day. If Lee was still in the line up he should be benched not that it would ever happen.

I just can't stand Bailey. He has all the talent in the world but he is just not a smart Hockey player. Makes dumb plays all the time. I hate him on the PP and I don't love Leddy at the point either.. He refuses to pass it to the left.. you clearly have a weapon in Whalstrom's shot and he just keeps going back to Bailey.

I know I am biased and I know every team thinks they get shafted by refs.. But that is our super star. Our best player and an All-star. How the fck don't we get calls when he is getting flat out assaulted every shift. You wonder why he takes these dumb penalties.. it's because they don't call sht when it happens to him all game. He finally reacts and their arm shoot up into the air.. it's a joke.

How about Mayfield.. Guy jumps him.. Puts him in a head lock.. Rips his helmet off and b/c Mayfield dropped his gloves thinking he was in a fight.. He got 2 minutes? You know how hard it is to put Mayfield in a head lock? It's not like he is 5'8".

Purely a gut feeling...but I don't think the Isles have much interest in him. I don't see him fitting this system and his cap hit means that they'll have to do even more work to get salary shipped out.

I think they'll target Palmieri and a defenseman.

I think Palmieri is a Trotz and Lou type player and would be a good fit. If Lou can Dump Hickey and or Leo’s contract with Lee’s LTIR relief Lou may be able to add Palmieri and a depth Dman and a 3rd line forward.
Hopefully Lee returns for the POs. That’s key.

I’m not counting him out of the POs. We don’t know the extent of the tare and with arthroscopic surgery and progressive physical therapy I’m hoping he can make it back for the POs at some point if not the first round.
If he can’t that really sucks but the Bolts won without Stamkos last year so we have to believe the others will step up and they can get this done.
