Travis Green confirms Elias Pettersson will not join the #Canucks on the trip, and as a result, will miss at least the next 3 games.

If Beagle and Eriksson and Sutter and Roussel weren't here, the team wouldn't have to wait for the good things coming this way, the good things would already be here - NewYorkNuck
Because Gaudette Zack Jake the last two years have been great players ? |

I don't think anyone thinks this team is better than they are (if they do, will the real slim shady please stand up) - most are realistic in terms of what the limit is this season - all I'm saying is most people gloss over the good and focus solely on the bad - Brooks_Light
You spend lots of time focusing on things that work right or the things that work like poop? |

Maybe, maaaybe on the boards that's true, but I doubt it.
Do you think if the Canucks are 2 points out of a playoff spot before the TDL Benning won't try to acquire someone for a push? Aqualini won't tell him to get someone to help? That's what matters.
If the Canucks had average goaltending they'd be much further out of the picture. But they don't. Their goaltending covers a lot of warts, and it's quite possible it'll lead to some decisions that are more short-term in mind than long-term. |

I wouldn't mind seeing a 4th line of Sutter with Motte and Hawryluk. Both wingers skate hard and do a bit of grinding. - Reubenkincade
Canucks top 6 could use more speed as well. |

Saving him for playoffs. |

I read that, sounds good. - VanHockeyGuy
Then what do they pay Edler, if Hughes makes that kind of money 8 million? |

There is a lot of good things coming this way for the team but most like to focus on Beagle Eriksson and Sutter and Roussel. - VANTEL
Its been great not seeing Roussel and Beagle the last couple games but Michaelis is not an NHLer and Hawryluk barely is either. I think the team's better with ZacMac, Bailey & obvioulsy Motte in the lineup.
I'd much rather see Juolevi instead of Benn as well. |

Good teams have great goalies and a lot of time those goalies steal games/series, wins cups, mask warts, carry teams, it happens ALL THE TIME, league wide, every year. We potentially have a one of those goalies - at the beginning of his career. We should be pumped, it fascinates me that most people can't just focus on something good for a minute. - Brooks_Light
If you focus on hughes, petey, boeser and demko it's harder to hate benning. Cause you know probably no other gm in Canucks history has put a better core than that together. Three Calder finalists in a row, hogie has a shot to be a finalist if he gets hot again. Lots to like going forward with this new group even if this year has had growing pains. Woo and podz next hopefully, Juolevi starting to look like a player. |

Could be surprised by players if they were allowed to play. |

I agree, but I have always been behind Nighthawk idea of having 3 pairs and a 3rd wheel who can contribute with some speed, and physicality. |

Because Gaudette Zack Jake the last two years have been great players ? - VANTEL
Because they'd have 16.3 mil more to improve the team
Would the team looked better with (hypothetically) Taylor Hall (8 mil) Toffoli (4 mil) and Brodie (5 mil)? |

You are probably right. I just like him, so far anyways, because he has some much needed speed, can hit a little bit and goes to the net. |

Taylor Hall has 2 goals
You just don't get it .They have players ready to step in they did not want to go long term.
They had the money to sign one or all of the three that left . |

If that's how the line up works.
Canucks dump and chase but are slow and soft.
How do you hound the puck if you can't skate.
Bottom 6 misses Motte.
I don't know if there is much speed coming either. Rathbone and Podz have good pace. Other than that most are very avg it seems. |
