Do you think if the Canucks are 2 points out of a playoff spot before the TDL Benning won't try to acquire someone for a push? Aqualini won't tell him to get someone to help? That's what matters.

If the Canucks had average goaltending they'd be much further out of the picture. But they don't. Their goaltending covers a lot of warts, and it's quite possible it'll lead to some decisions that are more short-term in mind than long-term.

I think a lot of things will have to go right in order for us to be in that position. At this point I don't realistically think that will happen. I predict we'll be right around the spot (points wise) where it'll be smarter to be sellers. Now whether or not JB is capable of pulling that off - I'm not holding my breath.

I would say the Canucks do it throughout the line up more than other teams. For me, it's more when they decide to dump mostly. You have the puck on a 2 on 2 and it's dumped in. Very little east-west movement once they gain the zone.

For a possesion team, Van doesn't seem to have the puck more than the other team.

Last year two contracts of 8 mil or more in the league .I doubt Petey gets 8 mil. I don't think they will go over 7 with anyone. Barzal went 3 x7 and I have a feeling that is what we do.

I agree they donit quite a bit, hughes and petey are both possession guys that prefer to gain the zone and pass. The strategy will change with the players imo. Podz is a huge positove possession guy.

Sutter is the dude that drives me the craziest. I've seen him dyke defensemen outta their pants but 98% of the time he'll dump it - 3 on 2 and he'll chip it in. He doesn't even attempt to gain the zone and make a play. It's infuriating.
