Demko's emergence is happening as we speak. Edmonton could use a save here and there maybe Holtby to the Oil for?
Maybe get Dipietro up for a few games?
- LordHumungous
Holtby isn’t an upgrade on Smith or Kosky, and both those guys are 🗑 |

You fans must know the word on the street, ear to the ground, beat reporters, TSN, Georgia Straight, shine head, Alex Burrows, Sportsnet. Trainers ?
Whats the lowdown on Petey ? Busted up in this locker room brawl last week, slapped around ? And nobody protected him ?
Discuss amongst yourselves - Jim Bob Smith
Kind of like on the ice!
He probably asked for it. |

Ya true for the most part but EDM needs a spark at Goalie. Maybe they would take a chance on Holtby and we could get an asset back. Tippett has to be losing faith in Smith. |

Probably just better to buyout Holtby next season.
His buyout caphit is 500k next season and 1.9 million the year after. |

How novel, a GM who actually doesn't hide, and makes newsworthy statements!

For a team that is supposed to be all-in, yet struggles against the division bottom-feeders, they should be willing to sacrifice prospects/picks, for an upgrade. |

How novel, another BS statement from the simpleton gang leader.
Praising Dubas for such an insightful in-depth response, while mocking a GM that actually sat down and allowed the hysterical media ask absolutely stupid questions. |

They’d need to find another goalie to expose in the expansion draft. |

I mean, just because Buffalo is crap is how you're basing your entire argument?
Having extra money allowed the Rangers to sign Panarin, Leafs to Tavares, Vegas to Pietrangelo, Blues to Hoffman... having extra money can help a team an extra piece to their core, rather than being sandbagged by worthless contracts. - NewYorkNuck
Even though Vegas was gifted a very talented team they had to dump contracts in order to obtain Pietrangelo. They also signed Lehner at 5x5 to have him play backup. Luckily Holtby is only 2 years.
Leafs had to sell off first round picks and give away young prospects to get Tavares. They also had to take on LTIR contracts .
Rangers have been worse than us this year and have sold off high draft picks to move out contracts like Staal . They have 12 mil in buyout cap this year 5 players. They have left their first round pick walk and have Deangelo on taxi squad .
Blues had to let one of the best Dmen in the league walk for nothing so they could sign Hoffman for one year. They had to retire Steen to reach an even worse cap than us.
Any team you name has had to shuffle or go through adjustments.

Or they couldn't resign Petro and instead got Krug and Hoffman. The idea they "had" to let him walk "so they could sign Hoffman" is ass backwards.
Vegas dumped contracts for assets and got Petro. Some would think that's a win. At least Lehner can play as a starter!
Leafs shot themselves in the foot (like Van) and paid to get out of it. I wonder where they are in the standings in comparison to Van, especially since the current GMs took over?
Rangers aren't good this year, no, and I think they added Panarin too soon, but they still had the space to maneuver to get a top 10 forward in the league through free agency.
All teams shuffle, most just seem to be doing a better job than JB |

St L had to make a choice Parayko or Pietrangelo . I am sure they would have preferred both. They had to use Tarensenko's LTIR to get Krug. Then retire Steen to get Hoffman for one year. Bozak is on LTIR . They only way they have been able to do what they did this year is by manipulating the cap.
Leafs shot themselves in the foot????? Isn't this the point of the discussion ?
Rangers have been no better than Canucks in the last few years and always get praised about how they stickhandle around problems . The key word is problems.

That makes sense.
The other person was mentioning about being able to send DiPietro to Utica which didn't make sense |
