Nice Article, But Eichel wear#9 now not 15 - icemen
Can you tell the difference between number 9 and number 15 this year? I can’t...
They probably never should have let Jack start the season with a broken rib. Let the guy heal and brought him in healthy... We may not be where we are today.
But this is the team that played a one eyed goalie last year.... ssssssooooooo...... |

Unnacceptability update, day 12:
11 days, 6 losses. Ralph Krueger had a hissy fit on the radio. Kim Pegula is trying to entice FAs to join the Bills with the promise of free Sabres season tickets. No takers |

With buffalo being a smaller city and plenty of cross over between fans of both teams, and Pegula owning both, do the bills ever feel the heat of the Sabres mess and what does that look like? |

I think people love the Bills more than they hate the Pegulas. The only way that would change is if they didn't sign Allen in order to protect The Lifestyle™️ |

Yeah, I get that. I just can’t get over how one owner can have two teams on such completely different tracks. I think you could do a collegiate course on this organization, or the umbrella of organizations... and I’d think, some how the fans that are passionate about both teams will find a way to express there displeasure that may impact the football side.
The only problem, the bills are good, the fans won’t be impacting the bills in a negative minatory way anytime soon, which is the only language the pegula’s are speaking currently. |

What's interesting to me is 3sh short years ago there was a near mutiny of Bills fans on here regarding McBeaner...including page after page of posts scoffing at the concept of Culture than both Beane and McDermott kept harping on.
Remember?
I certainly do.
Now, they are rightfully being praised for building a SB Contending team in which the players openly rave about the Culture...and backed-up by resigning for less / restructuring existing deals to accommodate a winning Culture.
It was pointed out ad neaseam that the secret is "just add talent" that better players automatically play better with better players.
This abortion of a team has disproved that concept with a failed experiment.

And if I remember that time correctly there were some players sent packing because they simply didn’t fit the culture (MR. Big Stuff)...
You just have never had the stability in the upper echelons of the Sabres organization to drive that culture, which would start with a seasoned, successful, president... |

Is everyone raving about the culture if Allen doesn't take a giant leap and we make the AFC championship game?
The Bills have had a linear development over the past 3 years mainly because of Allen, and they finally have a GM.
The culture (which is believe is good) is icing on the cake |

Think we had our arms in the air wondering what mcbeaner was doing because he was getting rid of
“ good “ players. LT, MLB, darby just off the top of my head. We thought these players were the future.
We didnt put much thought on “fit”. Bean has shown that a team of ok to good players playing for the good of a team is better than a bunch of pro bowlers.......and Josh helps a little 😂 |

I do think that the playoff appearance in 2017 did wonders for them, even if it was accidental. You can preach whatever mantra you want: culture, talent, heart, etc., but you have to back it up with results. That playoff appearance was a result that could show players that McDermott's system can work, and get them to buy in.
Kruger has never had the results at the NHL level, only a poop ton of charisma that keeps him around in league circles. |

Culture is why the 2020 New England Patriots still won the division this year even though Tom Brady left. The Patriot Way set these guys up for a 11-5 terrific season
Oh wait. The Patriot Way was total horsepoop and was really just about Tom Brady being good? The Patriots sucked? |

To be fair they also shed cap like a mofo because of constant years of going for it to set them up to spend like bandits this offseason.
They had like 6 or 7 starters opt out of the season.
And they signed Newton a week before the season started, or at least it’s what it felt like.
They were set up to tank and won’t even be picking top 10.
I don’t see why the Pats cannot contend for a wild card spot this season. They had a boatload of cap space they could afford to overpay everyone they brought in for the most part. |

Comparing the Bills and Sabres is comparing MREs to a 5 star steak dinner.
Both teams acquired talent. But if the Bills taught us anything, it takes a big machine a few years to bring in the right talent, and to intelligently fill gaps, with a strong focus on drafting well.
The Sabres are a train wreck on an atomic level because our owners are incapable or unwilling to make the right hires.
