Very slow WR market, could really benefit the Bill's Samuel would be interesting

Given the cap situation, I would rather take a flyer on a late round guy at the draft.

The pegula's have been burned by the (rough around the edges) gm's. Whaley and tmgm.

They will not hire someone unless they respect them as human beings.

Being a female owner also puts the spotlight on firing guy's like russ Brandon and Gilbert ect. For "indiscretions". Tough spot trying to balance a gm who's nice, obedient and not a womanizer.

Lunaion definitely summed it up perfectly

Go enjoy you lifestyle, hire a President set a budget, and let them do there thing. If Kim wants to be President of something, buy the Yacht Club and make her President

This is probably the most succinct and accurate post I have seen in a while.

I also believe that Kerry and Tim are unable to discern psychobabble from a real strategy to optimize the organization. The are enthralled with Ralph's corporatespeak, and are blinded to the results playing out before them.
They need help and don't know where to start to get it.

- IonSabres

They are still naïve. Ralph is hardly the first. He met LaFontaine and he was president the next day. Rex sold him. GMTM sold him on a quick rebuild, and we're still paying for it. JB had the right idea, but failed executing it. Now KA and a barebones front office? That might be the worst idea they've ever had.

Se what Beane does, like to see him get 2 more positions out of the way. Set up the draft very nicely.

Agreed, but I think both lines are better served in free agency than WR, especially given that the core is still very, very strong.

I was thinking the same thing. So many wide receivers were picked in last years draft, might be a soft spot this draft.

Same with DT.

Gotta find a star replacement in case of injury.

Sometimes, sounds like the Bill's were in on all 3 TE's, just money got out of hand

Very good year draft wise for OL, I actually wouldn't mind a trade back, strong 2 thru 4 rnds, could load up with right trade.

I heard they were serious about smith.
Thats some really ridiculous $.
Glad they passed.

Made sense to kick tires with gronk. More hype than actual good football decision.

Sabres would have given gronk 8 x 9

Currently, gmka should be dealing :

Hall
Montour
Miller
Staal
Risto
Sam

And I like risto, but do you really want the Sabres to give 7 million long term to either sam or risto?

Seems like a good time to start fresh....

- Boss34

There isn’t anyone on that list I would disagree with.

I don’t see why more people don’t understand the Risto issue. I like him played in the right position, with the right partner. He just isn’t going to be worth the next contract. Especially when that is the strength of our pipeline.

My biggest issue is trusting Kim n Co. to maximize the value for the trades. They can probably do ok with Staal and Monte. Maybe Miller. But beyond that, I have zero faith in them making deals that will actually be good for this team.

Adams did ok with Staal at the time. But look at the grigs, Tage and Eakins contracts. Big. Fat. Woof!!! I just want to see help for an inexperienced gm, I want to see the current know it all president on her yacht and I’d like to see an nhl caliber coach.

I won’t throw any names out there. I almost don’t care what the names are, except for McGuire, Milbury, Babcock, Roloston and Ralph....

The team needs help and the owners are more worried about the lifestyle.

Yes, Gerbe has asked for patients recently. And how can we not give him the benefit of doubt. Man, how can T.Pegs, as a self proclaimed Sabres homer, who cried when he bought the team, stomach what he sees on the ice. HIS team! HIS product.... His wife has destroyed...

I don’t have a problem with them gambling with Thompson. They can move him. Someone will always take a shot on a 6’6 guy who’s talented.

But the Eakin and Girgensons contracts are laughable, and the Staal trade should have always been expected to be a total failure.

The guy was pissed he was traded and was turning 36. Who wouldn’t predict that we’d not get his best?

I know it's early, and I know Beane did well to keep the guys he wanted to keep, and I know money being spent so far in FA is crazy, but I still don't like how we're being shut out so far. Bring me a big new shiny toy already. This kind of sucks so far.

People think this won’t get worse....or stay like this for long

We’re probably going to lose Hall, McCabe, Eichel, and possibly Reinhart within the next year
