Think the tank years, grigs at 1c, cozens at 3c... skinner at 4LW, okoposo resigned... risto re upped for 8x8.... coached by Ralph.

Watch, really watch the next 8 games...at that point they will have the longest losing streak in NHL history. That is what faces this team going forward.
Jack will ask out, the team will fumble away his value...and boom, the cellar dweller for years upon years.

Wait until next season kicks in and they play Tampa, Boston, Toronto, Florida, Montreal, Ottawa and yes, even Detroit in their Division. They have zero, zip, nada, nil, no chance of the playoffs.
I was right with them this year when I said the would struggle to finish 7th vs a playoff contender.
I'll be right again...unfortunately.

Me too! I have loved the idea of Gillis since before they hired Botts.

Gillis stated in black and white that he is only interested in working with progressive minded owners who are willing to challenge the status quo, use data in all facets to drive decisions and centralize control of hockey Ops under a President.

They fit absolutely zero of those criteria.

So the only way he’d consider it is if...

1- they sell the team.

2- an iron clad statement in his contract that puts the pegula’s in their place. They set the budget, he runs it as he sees fit...

3- a Minority owner brought in, putting the pegula’s on the yacht?

For now, because they say, he mag not be playing because either he his seriously injured or simply just having a down year playing under poor coaching and may be content making ace classic rock playlists with Fleetwood Mac, Journey, the Dead, and Bob Marley. But if he is injured and done for season, why not place him on LTIR and retain his salary? Fire Ralphy and utilize that money into hiring Bruce Brudreau, as well as, move assests (Hall, Staal, Eakin, Montour, and yes, Dahlin.)
