Barzal has anger issues. He is always looking at the refs for a call. And when he doesn't get the call he gets mad and takes a stupid penalty - Hockeyislife

100%, b1tches at the refs constantly. Tonight he was yapping after they called him on the penalty which was basically a cross check to the Flyers mouth. The Refs remember your constant tapping and you don’t get any leeway moving forward. |

I agree but that all started with him icing the puck meaninglessly. With that said he’s a third pairing guy with a good salary but he has been having a bad season even for him this year... - Cptmjl
I don't know if the stats bear this out, but it seems like Mayfield is often guilty of icing the puck when he has better options. |

Star players get targeted all the time and not everything gets called. He seems unprepared for the antagonizing other teams target him with. His complaining to refs wont help as it makes them more likely to look the other way. It's a league wide reputation at this point. He needs to just start flopping like Crosby. |

Mayfield meaninglessly iced the puck then lost his man on the ensuing face off. - Cptmjl
When he iced that puck I was so annoyed.. had 2 guys right in front of him .. could have chipped it up the boards to Barzal of just flip it to Eberle. Instead he fired it to try and deflect it on Eberle's stick and missed. It was such a dumb play.

Mayfield should not be in the lineup he should be on the taxi squad waiting for someone to get injured or in Dobson case on the list. Place him on waivers and maybe some stupid gm will claim him. |

I don't think I would take it that far. He plays almost 18 minutes a game on one of the best defensive teams in the league... That was just an awful play. I am not sure if the ensuing goal was his fault's or Barzal who took No one after losing the face off but it was a direct result of icing that puck when there was ZERO reason for that to happen.

As soon as he did it and they were skating back for the face off i had a feeling of dread. I literally knew what was coming. Just such an absolutely pointless play with under three mins left in a game when your team just scored three to tie it up. Horrible. |

Mayfield should not be on the ice in the last 5 min of the 3rd. Have your best defenders on the ice to secure a win or a point. He should be a bottom paring defenseman not given all this ridiculous ice time |

Same.. I was at game and we were buzzing.. it was such a big moment. he gets that deep and we at the very least keep it in their end for last couple of minutes. |

This game was on Trotz. In the final min of the 3rd wahlstrom was nowhere to be found. Had beauvillier out there that would miss the net with a soccer cage in place. |

Lol of course then you've got to watch for those suspiciously aimed elevated clearing attempts. I may have done that once or twice.

I didn't get to watch the game last night but by the sound of things I'm pretty sure this one isn't on Barry |

Seriously now, with Bellows playing well, maybe you only need to add a guy like Palmieri that has some toughness as well as a scoring touch. |

It was, He iced the puck and on the ensuing FO (which he lost) failed to cover his man in the slot who scored the winning goal. Clearly Barry’s fault. |

Oh yeah 100% I’m a full time pr1ck but if if you troll I’m really not gonna be nice come on.
Now to be serious, I think all of us on here, or most, would think Palmieri would be a great fit. Plays any situation, pk, pp and definitely is a Trotz type player.
Another player I would take if Palmieri isn’t available would be Folingno of the jackets.
Similar type player and a but tougher in the corners and in front of the net much like Lee but in my opinion not as good. He also being a captain adds the leadership on the ice as well missing in Lees absence. |
