Whilst Benning's drafting has been good, he's lacking in the big picture. The direction and his actions change every two years. I think they're turning the corner from drafting to competing in the next year or two, and I don't see him as the guy to make that turn. Not that my opinion actually matters in that regard.. but JB should be the Headmaster of Scouting, not the GM of a team.

Parts of the plan should change from time to time because the players on the team will decide which way the team should go. It's always been draft and develop for Jim. He's made good and bad moves. If the single goal is to win a cup and forget about the rest of the organization again. Bring back Gillis but he better guarantee a cup this team and more than 1 because after 6 years, the team will be back at the bottom again probably.
