Take whatever we get. It would be nice to pull another win out before we go on this little break. - Cptmjl
The isles have looked like the team we saw most of the year the last 4 periods so imo if they continue to play like that they will be just fine |

Flyers' D is young and talented. The best case scenario is they give up on a couple of these kids and trade them before they become studs... b/c if they stick with them I can't imagine how good their top 4 would be in a couple of years.
Sanheim 24, Prov 24, and Myers 24 all look like they could be insane if given the time.
somewhat shocking how much Gostisbehere has regressed. He was just insane in college at union. Dominated that Frozen four the year they won. - niteislander
If your team isn’t committed defensively I don’t care who your top 4 are honestly. |

If we signed Tavares we would’ve never signed Komarov, Martin, Brassard, or traded for Pageau. The kids probably would’ve been thrust into the roles they were eased into now. I’m not so sure if we would’ve been better off with the incredible 1/2 centers or as we are now. I would say we’re better off now without him. - Cptmjl
Gotta say with the JGP trade/signing we are one of the stronger teams down the middle 1 through 4 imo. I think you and I loved the trade for JGP when Lou did it and signed him. He addressed so many needs this team had at the time. With JT here that deal never gets done so I’m happy the way things played out. |

Yea you two were the only ones that saw the most obvious fit in the world. Now can you explain the breakout off the wall when the d man clearly was firing it up the middle when Nelson picked it and same with hart? |

Scoring. The Islanders remain a defensive juggernaut and an average offensive team, so they could help their chances of making a serious run if they go out and add a little bit of offense. They could use some scoring on the wing in a top- or middle-six role, as well as a depth centerman. |

Pageau was on my radar the season before we got him and the year we did get him I was praying we would. I was on here saying it every day before we got him as nauseam
Knew he would fix our third line which was a problem for us for years. To be able to roll four lines with confidence makes us that much better of a team of course. |

They’d have to trade Cizikas first. |

Gotta love Brendan Burke

We’re going to wind up with either Palmeri or Hall. I think it’s most likely going to be Palmeri plus. Like most of us I would think Lameriello sees him as a better fit and the fact that we could add a little more salary in another player with Palmeri while most likely giving up less makes it a no brainer I would think. Excited to see which way we go. |

A poster on the Sabre thread said we were most likely going to give up a first plus either Wahlstrom or Dobson for Hall.
If that is what it costs for Hall couldn’t imagine what it would cost for Eichel. |

I wouldn't trade Wahlstrom for McDavid. Wahlstrom has the potential to be one of the greatest players of all time. |

I'm surprised he hasn't been voted into the Hall of Fame already. |

Agreed. Just surprising that I ran into this article on Yahoo. |

Teams that scare the heck out of me is Washington and Tampa if they get a early summer then we are destined to win our fifth cup. |
