I like to think of it more like a ‘guild’ than a ‘gang’. Gang sounds brutish. Where a guild sounds sophisticated and exclusive. - bloatedmosquito
I don't know man, "Guild" just reminds me of a bunch of dudes that meet privately in a bath house to sip spiced wine, discuss trade secrets, and bathe together in a steaming pool of each other's urine. Personally, I'd come up with another term, but that's just me. |

Matt Roy signed a three-year, $9.45 million contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. It has an average annual value of $3.15 million.
The 26-year-old has scored 31 points (six goals, 25 assists) in 119 games
--------
so much for handing out decent contracts.
WTF is with defensemen getting over 3m a season after barely playing 100 NHL games. |

Halfway through Hughes 1st season, many on here wanted to give Hughes 10 million a year, after about 40 games into his career. |

I'm in a great mood. Watched the game at a buddies, had a few beers and some good laughs. Isn't that what Hockey is all about? |

Just read an article on Sportsnet regarding Chris Tanev. Looks like Calgary sports media like that signing very much. Looks like Sutter giving him loads of TOI and in all situations. I’m happy for Tanev. I liked him when he was a Canuck. |

Ah ok. Ya Houses of the Holy might be their best album and man I listened to ZZ Tops Deguello again last night on 180g vinyl remaster...so bloody good! - LordHumungous
ZZ Top; one of my favourite bands. Have you seen their Netflix rock-doc? So, so good. |

I laughed when you were invited to meet for “coffee”. Don’t fall for it!
You might think they are friendly but all they want to do is throw lattes in your face. |

Nice, I'll have to hunt it down because I had the cassette as a kid and loved it.
I haven't heard any of their remasters but I have Tres Hombres, Rio Grande Mud, Greatest Hits and Eliminator. The old pressings on the London record label are thick compared to the flimsy Warner Bros. But the production is far better with WB. |

Tanev’s been a great signing, warrior on the back end. Hanifan has looked much improved playing with him. Lots wanted him traded to Boston for Carlo but glad that didn’t go through. |

Glad to see it’s settled down, I back read a bit but skipped ahead after a couple pages.
Not sure what you watched but that was not a thrashing, team has a long way to go but Sutter is a relief. Looch his favourite forward. |

through 108 games Hughes has 84 points at least.
So Essentially on points Hughes should get near 3x the amount which would be 9.4 per season. |

He's playing like a top D, can't imagine he won't get paid like one. Who's the contract comparable for Hughes? |
