Canucks should claim Travis Boyd on waivers and trade Beagle and Suter - sxqhfeh
I don't know who you are but I like this idea.
Boyd is having a better season then both of them and is much cheaper and younger, probably faster |

Did you read to the end? Would Price be made available for the expansion draft, and would Seattle actually pick up that contract? Perhaps they would be looking at MAF as the example... - 1970vintage
Ya, I did read that.
Thought it was quite an interesting thought. |

Without getting into a debate about the use of certain words, yes I would agree that they are in the category of players who make above 5-7 million per season. - Reubenkincade
You missed a word in there so I fixed it for you |

I did appoint myself as the leader of the know-it-all guild, but so far it is just minivan and myself.
Got told Lordy belonged to a different guild, so he is ineligible. - Reubenkincade

Yeah, maybe just a tic more for Pettersson as he actually won the Calder, but I expect short bridge deals and then long term bombs after that: - 1970vintage
I think hughes gets a but above 6, petey in the 7-8 range. D just seem to get paid less. I’m starting to think Hughes may actually be the better player. But easy to say when pedros injured i guess |

Need to take the Boston approach and don't over pay the star players to allow for a supporting cast. |

Shocking, almost like we've seen this movie before. As long as we have a shot at the playoffs we won't acquire anything of value for our pending UFA's. - golfingsince
We can’t get anything of value for our UFA’s. So who (frank)ing cares lol |

Some folks here might....like the kind of people who hold onto something they perceive has value, only to finally decide to relinquish it at their garage sale when in reality it should have gone in the trash. |

Yeah as the saying goes one man's trash is another man's treasure. It's too bad we're always the ones thinking they're a treasure. |

A team with cup aspirations could covet Sutter as a 4C, another could covet Pearson as a middle six winger. As for their returns if draft picks aren't valued this season then go out and get them. It could be a year in which gems are picked in the 3rd and beyond. |

Ooh i can make assumptions based on absolutely no knowledge too. I bet you drive a red truck.
To answer your question, id have to say my favorite music right now is indie pop. Went through my punk/hiphop/metal/dad rock phases. Only thing I don’t like is country. Record player last night: MF Doom, STRFKR, paul simon, nofx, lana del ray, roy orbison - neem55
lol no red truck but the beer place Red Truck Brewing in Vancouver is fantastic.
Anytime you wanna chat tunes or debate music I'm good to go...4300 cd's 2200 LP's and a $50,000 stereo to spin them on. Classical, Rock, Punk, Metal, Rap, Folk, Indie, Blues, Old and new Country, Alt, Grunge, Jazz new and old, whatever man it's all good. New age, Flamenco, Soundtracks whatever your pleasure. Been obsessed with music since I was 6 and have played guitar since I was 12.
Last night after ZZ Top I had Ottmar Liebert on followed by Brahms Symphony 1 the Deutche Grammophon one which is the best version IMO with Gesang Der Parzen conducting the Berliner Philharmoniker with Claudia Abbado...bloody outstanding. Check it if you like Classical.
Then I closed the night with Metallica Death Magnetic lol |

A team like Montreal could badly use Sutter. Other than Danault they don't have anyone who can win a faceoff on a regular basis, plus he is pretty good at the defensive game.
Winnipeg is in need of a depth defenseman and may not mind having a dependable player such as Benn.
Edmonton could use Pearson Sutter or Benn.
We may consider our players scrap, because they don't put up tons of points, but people who are actually paid to be hockey people, put value to these types of players.
I would be happy if the moved 1 of these guys, if all 3 went, even better. |

Basically only those two to "sell"... maybe Benn if some team needs depth D. |

I have no problems with the team trying out a few waiver scraps, they will need something different in the bottom end next season, which hopefully include Lind and Gadjovich. |

You've only touched on teams within the division. It's not about how good they are as players, it's about holes on other teams and what specific skills these guy offer. They're UFA's FFS. If they're that important overpay them again in the offseason instead of overpaying them on an extension. |
