I don't know man, "Guild" just reminds me of a bunch of dudes that meet privately in a bath house to sip spiced wine, discuss trade secrets, and bathe together in a steaming pool of each other's urine. Personally, I'd come up with another term, but that's just me. - Load Management

Roster spot and cap space are worth it, any draft pick or prospect beyond that is a bonus. - Marwood
Yeah, with expiring contracts i'd like the draft picks for sure. Or, get rid of a guy like Beagle or Roussel in the deal but it would take a real fool to have those guys signed beyond the season.
ya I've seen it very good. Just kind of re-discovering the catalog on vinyl forgot how good they were pre-Eliminator lol - LordHumungous
Seen ZZ 6 or 7 times, first time at Alberta jam, circle 8 raceway in Calgary. Last time in K town about 3 years ago. Had tickets for the South Okanagan event center in Penticton but Covid cancelled it.
Favourite song is easily Jesus Just Left Chicago
I blasted a joint with them under the fraser river bridge when they were in pg a few years ago, friendly and funny guys, they thought pg was beautiful lol but thier from Texas. - Bettmanhatesus
A team with cup aspirations could covet Sutter as a 4C, another could covet Pearson as a middle six winger. As for their returns if draft picks aren't valued this season then go out and get them. It could be a year in which gems are picked in the 3rd and beyond. - golfingsince
I dont believe pearson can even be traded? He is injured well past the deadline

They trade guys on LTIR so why not? I'm not current with the specifics of the CBA. I also don't mind late picks this year. Lack of playing and scouting means quality players could slip through. It's better than losing someone to UFA? Also, gives you a chance to see what you have in the system.

Personally I want them to push for the playoffs. It’s an extreme long shot but I’d prefer they don’t throw in the towel. Late round picks don’t move the needle for me. To each their own

Out of curiosity would you rather them move assets to push for the playoffs than gain assets and pushing internally?

Most of our self proclaimed draft gurus suck at drafting as well. - Retinalz
And trading. They also pushed for Booth long before we traded for him. Trading Schneids for 9th overall was the most criticized move I've ever seen on here. Trading Hodgson for Kassian was a distant 2nd.

I don't think trading Benn and Sutter would be throwing in the towel. The Canucks' playoff hopes ride or die with Demko... Sutter and Benn aren't moving any needles one way or another for this team.

Benn they don’t need. A 5th? Sure whatever. They absolutely need Sutter. They have very few competent centres. I don’t particularly like Sutter but they do need him

I think it depends on what you want to remember, I remember being quite excited that the canucks were able to get ninth overall for Schneider. He played less than 100 regular season games(for the canucks), although he was a promising goalie 9th overall was a very good return.
The most criticized was the choice of Horvat, this site was crazy that Gillis choose a guy that many projected to be a 3rd line centre, Lefty still gets ribbed about that.

Lefty has been in hiding since his Flyers got their salads tossed by the Rangers.
