So the injuries have hit, only its our trade chips that are injured
Sutter out
Pearson out
I guess we can move Benn and bring up Juolevi.
To Edm for a 3rd? |

1/2 a Pearson, 2/3 a Sutter, maybe 1 whole Benn? A good recipe if you ask me.
*Trigger warning* Drance and RD wrote about the potential benefits to trading of Pearson being on LTIR for the remainder of the season:
In an ordinary season, teams often trade for injured players at the trade deadline. So long as the medical information is exchanged in advance and the player looks good to return in time for the postseason, it doesn’t often have a significant impact on that player’s value as a rental.
A more interesting possibility in the flat-cap era is what would occur to Pearson’s trade value in the event that the injury was longer term.
This is a hypothetical illustration, but it’s a fascinating one. If Pearson were to be ruled out for the regular season, but an option to return for the playoffs, he could be placed on LTIR by the Canucks and then traded and placed on LTIR by the team acquiring him on the same day. He would, in such a scenario, never hit the cap sheet of the team acquiring him.
Pearson could then go through his seven-day quarantine with his new club while continuing to recuperate and join his new team in the postseason without ever having his $3.75 million cap hit factored into the club’s cap accounting.
There’s reason for optimism on Pearson’s injury and he might return more quickly than it was initially feared, ruling out this scenario in all likelihood. Still, it’s the scenario that would open up the most possibilities for the Canucks as a seller.
Trading in the flat-cap era is generally a money-in, money-out proposition. But if Pearson’s injury likely forces to miss the balance of the regular season, but return in time for the playoffs, then even the most capped-out teams in hockey – such as the Tampa Bay Lightning or New York Islanders – could enter the bidding without having to deal a player off their roster. |

It took 2 people to write that? Lol.
Benn has been playing well, this season. He would be a nice 6th defenseman for a playoff team. |

To me he looks slimmer and more mobile...smarter with the puck as well. Can't see him going anywhere. |

Those were about 300 words from their 3,100 word article that covered 6 or 7 topics. So yes, they wrote together a bit more than the normal 3-4 sentences you write per post |
