I'd add Braun to your positives.

Don't do it. That's my realistic take.

I agree completely.

For the prices being discussed Id rather have them wait until offseason and see if they could get Colton Parayko or Erik Cernak. Younger, better wingspan, element of physicality and could anchor the RHD1 for years to come.

Or if available. Do the necessary for jones or wkblad.

Let's face it prime Bobby Orr wouldn't have been able to handle that Farabee pass.

- PLindbergh31

Orr would have chased him down and put him threw the end boards before he could even do the wrap around....

There is no question that the off season is a better time to make a move. With a flat cap, a lot of teams are going to have to move some players they wouldn't want to otherwise. If you have cap space, you could be a strong position.

Provorov, Myers, Sanheim are all foundational pieces for the Flyers. The hope is that York and Zemula will also be. Defense is a skill that needs time to develop. Its just so damn frustrating to watch...especially when you see a season swirling down the pot. Same can be said for Hart...too young to give up on but he's certainly regressed this year. Its necessary to bring stability to the blue line, and sorry, Ghost ain't cutting it. If last nights giveaway were an oddity you could forgive it...unfortunately its more the rule. Fletcher...find someone to help.
- DANCER

I hear you but I’m not putting any pressure on Hart. The other 5 guys that are supposed to be a unit have given him no help. For some reason team plays better in front of Elliot . Hart gets hung out to dry at least 6-8 times a game. Lazy no second effort team. They should all be ashamed!

Yes Orr today at 73 would choose that option, prime Orr would have taken the pass and started a breakout of the zone and went down and scored.

Apparently, the average speed of a hockey puck in a pass is 30-60 mph. Lets say that one was 50.

At that speed, the time it would take to travel 50 feet is 0.82 seconds.

The average NHL skater skates at 15mph odd. Ghost is probably faster than average. But even at that speed it is 17 feet in 0.82 seconds. Even allowing for the fact that he was stationary and those skating speeds are probably in full flight, he should be able to skate 10 feet.

But he could not take that one more step which would have transferred the receipt of the puck from front of the right leg to front of his left in a puck coming in full view wih no deviation.

OMG! THE PUCK IS COMING! ITS COMING IN THE WRONG POSITION! I CAN'T MOVE!!! WHAT TO DO? QUICK THINKING: DEFLECT IT WHERE NO FLYERS ARE AND WHERE A FISHSTICK CAN PICK IT UP IN FULL SPEED!

I think the take on the play is pretty simple. Is it a perfect pass? No, not even close. Should you expect a skilled NHL defenseman to be able to make a play there absolutely.

Lord baby Jesus go away Sheldon. It’s a hockey play. Happens a million times in a season. You really need a hobby or something . I’m guessing this is the only place where you get some kind of attention.please seek help.

No, mine is an example of very rudimentary supporting analysis supported by using an online calculator and google search engine.

Your response is a prime example of you getting typically confused with 4th grade arithmetic. And believing anything that falls outside that thinking level is evidence of "overthinking"/"unnecessary complication"/proof of "bubble" existence/"strawman".

Have the Blackhawks released any information as to why Toews isn't playing?
If he were out due to concussion symptoms wouldn't they be forthcoming with that?

Mommy! Mommy! I had just come back from cleaning the floor in my bar when I tuned into a hockey discussion and someone used numbers!!! How dare they! How dare they!!

Here is the issue, Angus-foh-foh-foh-foh:

You seem to be laboring under the persistent delusion that hockey fandom is only for spectacular dumbasses like you.

Let me get to the bottom line:

No it's not.

Now please (frank) off.

The way he made the statement seemed more personal. But who knows. Yeah would imagine they would be using or discussing a head issue. And would imagine him not sharing if it is personal or someone close with intimate health issues. Just speculating. Have no idea.

I used to watch House so automatically think weird auto immune disease that is only found in extreme athletes and descendants from a particular part of Europe.

Seems fairly ominous that he's not playing and there is no talk about what is going on.

Lots of well-informed and knowledgeable people took the other position. It's just a difference of opinion (in my opinion).
