That's pretty awesome.

I wanted to be an Olympian runner when I was a kid. I used to be (frank)ing great at running, but then my body started breaking and then I got fat.

Plus, I'm not Kenyan, so I never would've won poop. Those guys are incredible.

All my uncles on my mom’s side were in the Canadian airforce in WW2, one died. My dad was determined to join them except he had this small problem of significantly reduced visibility in one eye. He somehow got hold of eye charts and memorized them. Luckily, he eventually came across one he hadn’t seen and that stupid idea came to an end. Otherwise, you’d feel pretty stupid reading something that wasn’t written.

He’d be 114. He was 32, was a lawyer and had 3 little girls. The army told him he could stay in Canada and prosecute deserters but he enlisted as a private in the infantry and went off. He was lucky my mom didn’t kill him. He saw action in Holla d and Italy and the only thing he ever told me was he could never eat Brussels Sprouts again, which never seemed like a big loss.
