I still like the idea of adding a couple of solid vets for next year.
- landros 2

Yup, and I am impressed with Morin in this game, he is an excellent skating defenseman that actually uses his size and takes the body. I sincerely hope he stays healthy the rest of the way, because he can become a big part of this rebuild.

He has been. Makes me wonder more why they tried to switch him to forward.
- MJL

I think it was just a way of getting him reps. With no AHL, no choice. Plus you skate more on O and he needed to skate

So we've got Morin, Patrick and Rubstov first round busts.

That is 2013, 2016, and 2017. 3 misses in 5 years is brutal. Not to mention 2014 Sanheim is looking less than stellar at the moment.

But Hextall did an amazing job at drafting!

no need to buy anyone after their march performance, esp a defenseman you would need to protect. then again, maybe you dont need to protect any of our dmen.

Patrick is the least of the flyers problems. Sitting him a game or two here and there ok but he needs to play.
Imo he is still an unknown. He can be a NHL player without a doubt. The question is to what level.
He is the perfect example of having top notch player development in an organization.
The flyers need to do what it takes for Patrick to realize his potential.
Maybe he gets there maybe not. Trading him doesn’t get anything at this point so may as well continue with development.

I think Nopa needs to develop in practice and in the weight room. Put him on ice for a while and let some other youngsters who aren't afraid to battle for pucks or go to the hard areas have a shot. They could be no worse.

We have like 1.45 million in cap space. Please tell me how anyone expects to add anyone of significance to this lineup?

We can get lucky in the lottery and trade up.

Maybe get Hughes, sign a true replacement for Niskanen, get Frost back, and hope for the best with the rest.

Tomorrow should be interesting. If nothing is done and they all this poop to continue it's as gutless as it gets.

I wouldn’t call Patrick a bust just yet although he’s not really providing proof to argue. Rubstov just hasn’t progressed. Morin had some tough luck but has looked good tonight. If the Flyers don’t value him, perhaps he’ll catch on somewhere else.
But those were 3 misses for sure.

Btw, doesn't AMac come off the cap next year? And Gus is gone, so should be 6 mil odd space without figuring in a Laughton raise?

Flyers have had multiple meltdowns 2014-15, 2018-19 when the GM and coach were fired and now this. It’s now become a pattern and the common denominator has been the captaincy of Giroux. There needs to be a serious evaluation of the leadership this off-season. It really shouldn’t matter if Giroux is on the team...I know there’s supposed tradition that player doesn’t lose the C unless they’re traded but this scenario has repeated itself again and it’s time to hold the supposed leadership in the locker room accountable.

Morin was drafted by Holmgren, and its not his fault Morin had two torn ACLs and a bad back.

Has any team given up 16 goals against from the same team in back to back games? Or is that a record?

Lol did Couturier just flap his arms calling someone a chicken? This team’s trash talk is as bad as it’s play.

I think they let Laughton walk. They need to spend significant money on defense
