The Flyers have more cap space than that. They currently are carrying 8 defenseman on the cap. They'll have the ability at the trade deadline to add a player(s) with a cap hit of close to 6M.

To see this many blowouts is crazy.
The flyers are in a bad situation right now. They are skating in fan indifference territory.

It's certainly not just about coaching but the coaches aren't responsible for any of this? The time has come where the coaches have to be given some of the blame. They simply haven't done a good job. The Flyers struggle with man to man coverage in the defensive zone. Are there other ways to play in the D zone? How many times do we have to see a bad line change lead to a goal? There are adjustments to the forecheck scheme that could better position F3. How about a change in the PP scheme?

So if Morin doesn’t get suspended and the Rangers don’t address him next game that would be a flyers win.

Lemieux, Rooney and Smith have been taking shots in every game against the Flyers this year. Morin just let them know if he’s playing then they are going to have to answer. They haven't had much practice but at this point what do you have to lose? Just sit back and magically hope that they get it together as a team defensively? Has there been any indication of that happening other than is small samples only to regress again? What does benching a few players do when it is a team wide issue?
