Farabee hasn't blown up anything. He has had a hot run. TK had a hot run last year. So did Oskar early last year.

I just don't see the evidence that young players are not 2-3 years away at least from being game breakers. If not 2-3 years, that means next season or season after latest. That's wilful fantasy.

I think they will top out as at best JW/Jeff Carter types. They will get traded in 2028 to another team with better stars, where they will win a cup.

Konecny put up 61 points in 66 games last season. That is not a hot run, that is consistent production over a season. This Farabee's breakout season after being a rookie last year. He started the season with a 4 point game. He then went scoreless in the next 5 games. Since then he hasn't scoreless more than two games in a row. Since then he has produced 23 points in 25 games with 6 multi point games. That is a significant amount of games and is more than a hot run. He is the real deal.
As far as Lindblom is concerned, a serious illness tends to disrupt a season. How can you not account for that? Pretty silly on your part.

I meant our fan base tends to hyoe our young players ridiculously prematurely.

I think if your 1-2 down the middle are Couts and Hayes, you need at least a Marchand type player on wing, if not a Marner/Kucherov type. A stud.

I honestly don't see that future level in Bee. I see a kid with tremendous hockey IQ, with good instincts, but no special skating, passing, or shooting ability (good but not great), who loses every battle along the boards.

This is not accurate. Farabee has shown to have solid skating. A really good passing touch and an accurate and effective shot. Which is why he is scoring at a 37 goal, 34 assist, 71 point pace. He is getting stronger by the day and is very competitive in board battles. This is as a 2nd year player who is what, 21 years old?

In comparison, Brad Marchand didn't score at that level until his 6th year in the league and when he was 27 years old.
