Glad to see they are taking a look at Sam again. I had read he played pretty well in the A, so hope he can help at least provide some give a poop attitude on there back end. |

Probably better than being proud of simple fries with cheese curds and gravy called poutine! Just sayin
- Letterkenney
Hey man, don't knock what you have not sampled the best of.
To get good poutine you have to go to good places. There is this famous place in Montreal called La Banquise, which is so good it is insane. Its the best street food I know of in North America.
I have gone there during last week of December in 2013, when half the bloody restaurants are closed, and at 3 AM on NY eve, when temperature (not real feel, but temperature) was something like -5F, and everything was covered in ice, and the line outside was an half hour long. |

I didn't grow up in Chicago. Fandom started in Kentucky. No local team, so it just ended up being my favorite logo in the NHL genesis team select screen, lol. Kinda just stuck w/ it from there.
Nobody in Chicago eats deep dish btw. Main local pie here is thin crust cut into squares.
You wanna know what really sucks? Look up 'Chicago dog' - Tomahawk
Sounds like a grandma pie. I like deep dish pizza. Thick greasy crust and tons of cheese...what’s not to like? As far as sandwiches I’d rather have a roast pork with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone, or a good banh mi, or a gyro, or falafel or... |

I guess you have a different definition of bottom feeder than I do. Going on the better part of a decade, and they have won one playoff series. To me that is absurd incompetence. But hey if you want to compare the Flyers to the Red Wings and Senators then I guess they're "winners" - PLindbergh31
Well put. |

Is it a sad day when we’re excited to see Sam Morin play but feel like we’re out of the playoffs?
Like, I’m frustrated with the power play because that’s the area I know we could be 10 times better. Just look at the names on the ice when we were down 4-2 Tuesday. Giroux, Couturier, van Riemsdyk, Voracek, Ghost would be my first unit. Hayes, Konency, Farabee and Provorov my second. |

In pregame, Jonesy confirmed what I thought when I read this from Fletcher and posted earlier, no one is calling the Flyers about their players because right now their players are not good! |

PT, you're definition of tanking is completely inaccurate. Just being objective here. MJL has cornered you and now you want to keep debating that which cannot any longer be debated. Take the L and move on, buddy. - Letterkenney
Your problem is that you think of tanking as an all or nothing deal. Very, very few teams do that.
Did Eagles tank the last game of the season? of course they did, by pulling Hurts. But did they still keep Graham, Cox on the field? Sure.
The difference between 1 and 2 is to hoodwink guys like MJL and you, to give them the facade of competitiveness, while really they are looking at the future.

Grandma pie is kinda bready tho, right?
Chicago thin crust is cracker thin.
I'm with you on the banh mi. |

Yes, just look at the names on the ice and that tells you why this team has been at or below the league average in PP for many of the past several years. Farabee should be leading the team in PP time, especially when the team is down, but alas, they would rather him kill penalties! |

Jonesey is full of it and I like Jonesey.
All you have to do is look at what a team is trying to do. If the Flyers are buyers, then it is the buyer who initiates contact. The veteran players that the Flyers have that if they were going to be sellers, which they're on record as not being, all have term on their deals and have high cap hits. Teams that are looking to bolster their team for a playoff run, are not looking for those kinds of players. You don't call the car dealer if you're not looking to buy a car.

Onions are usually raw + dill pickle spear, neon green relish, tomato, hot sport peppers and mustard. And most places will include fries, which they smash into the top of the hot dog and wrap the whole thing in wax paper. It's the nastiest thing ever.
Don't get me wrong... Chicago has a lot of great restaurants, and some notable ethnic enclaves. But as far as true local food culture, it's just a bunch of variations on junk food that were done better before elsewhere. - Tomahawk
It sounds nasty, all right.
Honestly, that's true for most of America. |

No, actually it's your problem. I assume you meant Wentz. They pulled Wentz because he was playing like crap and they wanted to win. So what your telling me if Wentz was having a good season and playing well, they still would've pulled Wentz? You failed again. The hole is just getting deeper.
There was no facade by Hextall. He was completely transparent about what he was trying to do. |

What is "traditional Chinese"? That's a loaded term, my man. I guess you mean Mandarin. But trying saying that in Hong Kong. - PT21
Written Chinese has always been incredibly complex and hard to learn, so the CCP adopted a simplified system of writing to promote mass literacy.
TW, SG, HK and the rest of the diaspora still use the original "traditional" full written system.

Very surprised to see Laughton back at center on the fourth line but this is what I asked for. I think we need the fourth line to be exactly what it was in the first 5 to 10 games of the season. |

Calm down, concrete cranium.
I meant Hurts when I said Hurts. And I meant the last game of the season when I said the last game of the season.

Fletcher did not say they are not sellers, he said that he does not want to be a seller. Very different.
