Wait, what?
It's nice to have picks to make trades with?
But wouldn't you not have picks, because you made trades with them...
Lets be real.
JB would be crucified on here for trading 2 picks for a 36 year old UFA on the decline. - dbot
Yes. Especially as MTL is not a good team. I understand TO and EDM buying but that’s it |

I wonder what it would take to land Sam Reinhart.
Could be the top 6 winger/Center that we need.
He's young, relatively durable.
Good for 20 and 30.

Neither would I, to go to Wpg.
Maybe Tampa or somewhere for a playoff push tho...resign with Vancouver in the offseason.

Kinda different circumstances. Canucks should be 6 years into a rebuild and Montreal is in win-now mode. |

One can hope lol based on the fact that Van would bring him back for a one year deal he might take off. WPG has shown pretty big interest in Edler before. |

At some point, you have to think how many years do I have left and look at Vancouver's chances tho.

Perhaps he is lying. He does often. He has no desire to resign Pearson. - CanuckDon
I get the lie to not tip his hand.. but when he says things like "We've talked to the agent about extending" and the agent comes out and says "No, they haven't", it's pretty moronic Either talk to them or don't.
It's like a friends who's a compulsive liar. They could have told you they weren't up for going out last night, but then they make up this easily disprovable story just to try and cover something up that no one felt had to be covered up. |

Both agents and the GM have their own interests and use the media to their advantages.
No reasons to take the agent's word for it either.

I kinda agree mtl is average. Maybe if Price returns to form, but they’re soft in net. |

For sure, but when this has happened numerous times, it starts to show a pattern of behaviour.
But, end of the day, not that big of a thing. Just something I personally find a terrible quality in people. |

Again, if teams think they might rather keep him he might get a better deal. I do it all the time in my dynasty league
“Think I’ll just hang onto him then, he’s been solid” then a better offer comes in |

“Good team” is relative. No, the jets are not a good team. |
