Agreed, the Jets have a great offense and top-notch goaltending. Hower they have the worst d-core in the league. I think they need to somehow find a top pairing defenseman and at least 2 NHL level defenders, even if they are bottom pairing quality. Without these additions, it is unlikely a core containing three or four AHL-level defenders will remain stable through the playoffs. Crumbling on the back-end seems certain for the Jets.

I had not made a first round selection yet. That could be a D man also. Which would make 2 D draft plus a possible D in the 7th round.

You only need 6 D, Need 12 forwards.

Islanders drafted 7 D once, all they got out of it was Adam Pelech.
