They had a rough start in a fake season. Who the (frank) cares about the COVID bowl. This season is horse sh!t. I’m just glad I can watch hockey again regardless. Mini reset is fine and very normal for teams on the rise.

Hopefully add a top pairing D in the draft and regroup over the summer. Stop crying

Was playing around with Cap Friendly to see how much cap space the Canucks could have by signing some of the waiver guys they got and moving players around. If they go:

JTM - Petey (7.5) - Brock
Hoglander - Bo - Podkolzin (1.2 not sure how ELC bonuses work right away)
Vesey (1) - Boyd (1) - Virt
Motte - ZacMac - Lind (1)
Rous

Hughes (6) - Hamonic (1.25)
OJ (1) - Myers
Rathbone - Schmidt
Trymakin (1)

Buyout LE, waive Beagle

Not saying this is ideal, nor exact cap numbers, but just to get a rough estimate of cap while scraping by as minimally as they can... leaves about 4.5 mil in cap space. That doesn't include anyone the Kranken take, assuming they'll take a roster player.

Tough to say but I think Petey and Huggy will make more than that, even on bridges. Especially Quinn, their numbers will undoubtedly be very close/the same.
