Tough to say but I think Petey and Huggy will make more than that, even on bridges. Especially Quinn, their numbers will undoubtedly be very close/the same. - NorthNuck
Very possible. I just put in some numbers to see what the leftover was. 4.5 mil with them at those numbers with the team basically scraping by on the rest.
So, if you think they'll earn more, gotta eat away at that 4.5.
Still hoping the can get Seattle to take Myers. |

A lot of times these hosts just throw crap out there to generate discussion, kinda like what we do hear. - Reubenkincade
For sure. It’s better than what Mosquito was doing in the last blog at least |

I’m just relaying what they are saying on the radio to provide things to discuss. It was an interesting thought that I hadn’t considered - CanuckDon
I know, but it doesn't make the notion any less f ucked. |

Thatcher will be/is the team MVP, and you think both those guys will make 1.5 times more than him? |

Yes. There is no salary = production ladder with this franchise. Salaries are all over the place. |

Great, a unproven goalie dictating what he wants after 60 some games, 5*5 is a bit over the top, 62 NHL games...
Better sign stick boy and midget boy to 10*8 and let them tell the GM who should play...stupid (frank)ing Canucks. - Sea21dog
Is this another kkkaptaan alt? I love all the alts, what a fun thing to do. It's just fun |

At least. Wait one and a half as in 9? That seems a bit high. I have hughes around 6-7 and pete at 7-8 as my guestamate ranges |

Yup, they are currently paying 3 2nd pairing defensemen and a pressbox popcorn eater, 6 million per season. That has to be a starting point. IMO.
Using comparable, Barzal for Pouty and for Hughes I don't know who to use, as I don't see anyone in the league that has been as bad as he is defensively, maybe Gostisbehere.

Yeah, but let's not forget this is basically his first season as a starter. It's not like he's a 10.5 mil veteran asset like Carey Price. There's no way in hell he nor his agent are getting a chance to call the shots with the Coaching staff, that's bath salt territory. - Load Management
Exactly. Honestly sounds like a crock anyway, Demko is playing very well his two seasons under clark. |

You might want to consider taking grade 4 math over again, because, 1.5 x 5 = 7.5 |

I say bridge them both. Give Hughes a chance to prove he can play D. Give Petey a chance to prove he can carry the team when needed. Let them earn it. |

So, that is a no, to the 10 million per, that some had suggested last season and earlier this season? |

100%.
Prior to Covid the conversation was all about how far past 10 mil will Petey's next contract go. |

We need to let Petey recover from his dressing room brawl with Miller before we heap that sort of pressure on him. |

Meh.
Not the biggest contact concern by far.
LE and Holtby more problematic imo |

Holtby only for 1 more year, that's tolerable. So is Loui, but he's completely useless so that is indefensible. |

Ya, it's the length of Myers' contract. I don't think he's terrible, he brings something the Canucks need.. but after next year he'll still have two years left, and those are the ones that are going to hurt them.
Loui a buyout candidate this off season. Holtby for one more season isn't the worst. |
