I’m not doubting you have but where? The Athletic? Also, I have absolutely no idea how Beauvillier has earned that? I don’t understand the love affair with this kid. I’ll also add I don’t hate the kid I just don’t see him as some awesome player. He’s not. He’s like a Marty Mcinnis light. - Cptmjl
I love Beau, but he hasn't been able to consistently put it together on the offensive side of things. He brings a ton of other value that I like, but the scoring numbers are the reason I'd be willing to move him in the right deal.
When I say a "significant raise" I don't mean that he's going to be getting $6M/year...but if he' gets $3.5M-$4M then things are going to get real hairy this offseason. |

Would want a winger with same term and around 5 million in cap. - Hockeyislife
And that would be?
Keep in mind that the Panthers currently have Duclair, Hornqvist and Barkov all out with injury. |

And who are you earmarking to fill the massive hole on the blueline for the rest of the season and playoffs?
This is a bad idea |

Spencer Knight? When we already have Sorokin?
I don’t think you’ve thought this through. |

I suppose you could make an argument for Tippett or Denisenko but creating a massive hole on your top pairing to get an unproven winger with precisely zero playoff experience is a fire-able offense |

MDC still out. Bellows out. This of course means Ross is there for Wilson. Leo ...meanwhile....no idea what the hell he's still here for |

This place is dead so, in the spirit of getting everyone fired up and yelling at each other...
I think I'd be willing to do something along the lines of:
2022 1st, 2021 2nd, Beauvillier & Aho for Palmieri and Wood
My reasoning here: Wood is only 25 (Beau is 23). Wood is under contract next year for only $2.75M and Beau is due for a significant (relatively speaking) raise, that has to come this offseason. Wood gives them a similarly-valuable player (albeit different styles) at a very manageable cost for next season which gives them a little breathing room and he's only two years older. Wood is still an RFA when his deal expires after next season too, so he's somewhat controllable.
I love Beau, but I think that's a trade that checks a few different boxes - eichiefs9
think if you are moving a 1st, a 2nd, and beau, you can do better than a UFA rental and a player with less of a ceiling than beau. woods is a fine player, but not worth that amount of quality assets imo. |

Dobson returning is exciting and will help with their transition game, not sure some realize how important he is to this team |

Definitely agreed. He is one of our top 4 guys and Pelech's absence last year showed how the absence if such a player can negatively impact the game at both ends |
