lol Boeser is just coming into form and we are trading him again...

You don't move Boeser for a player that 'might' be as good as Boeser in a few years

Dumba is trending down and shouldn't even be mentioned in trade rumours to this club. They would have to add huge to get Boeser.

Kaprizov is interesting however...

Plus OJ looks like a solid dman if Green would ever play him FFS

- LordHumungous

Maybe Van could play Sutter on RHD next season.

Oh ok. I thought you were talking about your sister contracting a different form of a flu virus.

We have a group here that don’t believe covid is really all that serious and it’s more of a tactic of the political elite to keep the masses enslaved.

When you ask for evidence of such a conspiracy the response is usually the internet has been scrubbed of any serious evidence but you’d have to be blind and dumb to believe it’s anything but politically motivated.

How is defenseman that averages about 23 minutes of ic time per game, trending down?
Is it because he has become a much better all-around defenseman? Is it because he doesn't get a pile of points?
Dumba would easily be the Canucks best defenseman.

Nope. I am not advocating for trading for him, using Boeser, it would just be nice to have a top pairing defenseman and not have a bunch of lower end 2nd and 3rd pairing defensemen.

Think we’re walking to Saanichton and back today to get some exercise and some burger buns for dinner!

For sure, when Bonnie says it’s ok.

If anyone’s interested, here are today’s Fraser Health update:

Current *covers the last 24 hour period

Emergency patients admitted to hospital within 10 hours - 29.4%
Regional Occupancy Rate (funded capacity) - 90%
Alternate Level of Care as a percentage of total occupancy - 9%
Number of sick calls by staff and medical staff - 360

Fraser Health *covers a 2 day period

Total COVID-19 cases (new) - 58,367 (+923)
Positivity Rate - 10.84% (last 7 day average)
Total Current Cases - 3,050
Total recovered from COVID-19 - 54,526
Total deaths due to COVID-19 (new) - 791 (+3)
Current hospitalized due to COVID-19 (patients in ICU/ HAU) - 170 (34)
Fraser Health staff and medical staff that are currently COVID-19+ (change) - 56 (-1)

Updates from the Executive Team
There have been new deaths in our region due to overdose and COVID-19. Many are mourning the loss of a loved one and I would like to offer my condolences to the family, friends and communities who have lost someone.

Surgery Renewal
Our collective efforts with dedicated leaders, staff and medical staff led us to provide surgeries to 78,438 patients between May 18 and March 21. This is nearly 78,578 more patients receiving surgeries than were completed during the six-week period prior to May 18. We are continuing to surpass our virtual care target of 80 per cent and are conducting approximately 85 per cent of pre-admission sessions using virtual means.

Updates on COVID-19 Response

Long-Term Care and Assisted Living
We have declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Chartwell Langley Gardens in Langley. We worked with the site to support the implementation of enhanced control measures and identify anyone who may have been exposed, and are taking steps to protect the health of all staff, residents and families.

COVID-19 Testing and Immunization Centre Update
To ensure we continue to meet the needs of the Burnaby community as we enter phases three and four of BC’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan, we are opening a new drive-through COVID-19 Testing and Immunization Centre that will significantly expand the number of COVID-19 tests and immunizations we are able to provide in Burnaby.

Immunizations in our region continue for all eligible people. Work is underway to transition to the provincial Get Vaccinated registration and booking system April 6. More information will be shared next week on this new system.

Long Weekend
This long weekend please remember your COVID-19 sense and be safe. Stay close to home, do not travel and remember to follow the rules on social gatherings. Now is the time to remain vigilant and protect ourselves, our loved ones and our communities.

Dumba might be the best RHD Van would have but unless you are pairing him with Hedman, top pairing he is not.

I'm an example of that. Got my surgery 6 months earlier than planned.

On another note I was glad to hear that the First Nations tried setting up a road block on Sutton Pass to stop travellers from going to Ucluelet & Tofino. To bad it was shut down by the RCMP.

I hope you're enjoying the long weekend and staying safe. I'm finding it tough to feel festive given all this grim news around the Canucks. Plus, I feel like it could be an indicator of what's happening more broadly in our region with the virus.

I've done my best to sort through the latest news in the new blog. Hoping for full and speedy recoveries for everyone who has been affected — on the team and in the community.

Yeah, I was going to respond to Donna’s post about his surgeon friend who said he was “bored”.

The health authorities have implemented strategies to manage more capacity. With that and the fact people are staying away from hospitals (not using ERs as general practitioners) we have the ability to get people treated faster than ever before.

That’s been the silver lining in all of this. Major surgeries are being dealt with sooner than pre-covid.

It would just be smarter to move Boeser for a 'maybe' player and a 25 point dman.

Perfect.

In what regard just defending? The Dumba of a few years ago sure maybe but now you will just end up with a minute muncher that gets you 20 points like Edler.

Makes zero sense but hey if you want Dumba and a 'maybe' Boeser type fill yer boots dude lol

Just moved out to Central Saanich in December. Love it out here, so quiet. Lived in Gordon head before and didn't like it too much

I'm craving teppenyaki, we definitely need to still do Japanese village. Lefty is covering the bill so sake shots all around
