lol that's rich coming from you champ. You and your buds push the same narratives day in day out with no recourse. No chance of seeing both sides. Sure I poke and prod and make fun but when someone offers an alternate opinion you are all over them. You and RC and a few others say you are open to 'good debates' lol...what a load of sh!t. You and your 'buds' can't take on most forms of conversation in a singular fashion, just wait for all to show up and pounce to push the narratives. It's actually quite comical when you think on it.
But it is what it is. I don't hold it against anyone really (except maybe a few lol) I like coming here and stirring the pot a bit. If the 5-6 gang members are laughing at me (the free world lol) then I'm good with that. Rent free baby. Hell I have folks saying 'champ' and 'is what it is'...'power through it' and I even got Vintsy to change his avatar lol. Just goes to show... I just love how predictable this place is and fun with you champs...
I actually am a pretty cool guy lol as I'm sure 99% of the posters are here. But remember it's a two way street. There are just as many laughing at the gang (maybe more) as there are with me or any of the other posters who are ostracized for offering alternative opinions. You may not like it...it just is what it is.

They didn't almost take out Vegas, they came back from down 3-1 when their goalie stopped 90 of 91 shots. You probably blame Demko for the goal.
They also only made the playin thingy on points percentage which you've already demonstrated you don't understand.
Let's ignore this season and the 5 seasons prior though and base it off one year. The problem is that when you're standing still other teams around you are getting better. - golfingsince

Based off this season and the 'step back' mentality they are exactly where I thought they would be. Barring injuries and some scheduling issues it is what it is. No reason they can't crack the top 20 if they play some decent Hockey down the stretch and Demko is solid as expected. But hey, if they do you would probably just chalk it up to Demko playing lights out...

Based off this season and the 'step back' mentality they are exactly where I thought they would be. Barring injuries and some scheduling issues it is what it is. when evaluating the team or anything, you need to look at the context. context also says that when the goalie is playing better than "good," the team is very good. that has been borne out in the playoff thingy and this season.
if you look at the context, the next questions are: can the team continually rely on excellent goaltending? how good is this team?
that's not about sh!tting on the team, it's about thinking how can they be better.
but sure, if you want to just look at rankings and simple stuff, then rely on "they did pretty good in the playoff thingy," and "they'll improve every year by a couple of spots because... well... just because is what it is.

lol sh!t some good points here and yes I am always thinking on ways on how the club could be better. Bottom line is we have the pieces now just need to round it out. It will come. But I have to head to Edmonton to snag some electronics so will chat back in the afternoon. See you then champ!!
