So let me see if I'm reading this right... Quinn shouldn't play his best players. He should play young guys for more minutes to make the fan base happy.....
Its more about developing the kids in the rebuild years, not worrying about making the playoffs. Whats the use of almost making it and your prospects dont see any ice?? When your so called future stars are playing under 10 minutes a game and dont develop, well then there isnt much of a future. I thought DQ was brought here to develop these kids??
VK came over and still hasnt sniffed the ice yet, if and when he does play, will he see the same 10 minutes Laf and KK see??? Will he want to leave the team again if that does happen?? |

KK is not seeing only 10 minutes

At this point DQ looks like hes coaching to win and develop second.

Stop with the rational thoughts, this season is about our coach proving he can win at the NHL level, which is far more important than the development of our youth. |

Yea was just gonna say the same. He’s probably averaging 15 min the past 2 months. I’m not worried about Chytil or Gauthier, I just think Laf needs more opportunity. Need to get his confidence up. Krav is another concern, but if the team keeps winning it’s tough to make lineup changes. |

Because the two could never happen simultaneously. And HCs aren't supposed to try to win, especially when they're, quite literally, in the playoff hunt.
You guys are (frank)ing nuts. |

K'Andre Miller played 22:24 - jimbo83
And Fox as well. A lot of that is bc Miller is paired with Trouba and Kakko with Panarin/Strome. All vets. That being said I just think that 3rd line needs some balance

I'll say it again
that kid line needs to keep the puck in the offensive zone longer if their shifts are going to be longer
ultimately the reason Lafreniere didn't play that much last night is a guy named Artemi Panarin
not a guy named Di Giuseppe

I just can't anymore...
Lets just put Zib and Panarin on the 4th line and give the minutes to Laf and Krav |

with Kreider and Panarin as left wingers signed until 2027, I feel like I have since we won the lottery, Lafreniere is never gonna get enough minutes to make everyone happy
this is gonna be a balancing act for who ever is coaching the Rangers for the better part of this decade

I loved the kid line when they first put it together. They just cant sustain offensive zone shifts and Quinn does not trust their 200 foot game yet. If a vet is added to that line they will probably get more ice time. He is riding the top 6 for good reason |

No, no, let's not shy away from what you're really getting after. You haven't said a damn positive thing this entire season.
As soon as the team falls behind, you immediately jump in to "point it out". When the team wins, you come in to "just point out" that Quinn is riding the vets to save his job.

I'm all for adding a vet to play with Lafreniere-Chytil

I dont think I have been negative. I point out things I don't like. Not a Quinn hater, but skeptical of some of the things he does. He definitely is a coach trying to win and finish out his contract. I get it.

A coach is playing the best players and letting the kids develop slowly. Laf has had time in the top 6, he isn't ready. Lets just face it. Kakko was a bit of mess last year, he is a beast this year, thats why Quinn is playing him a lot more.
The whole argument is (frank)ing dumb |
