I agree on playing the long game. I see some posters are already questioning the future of Mitchell and Beaudin who haven’t even played a full half season. Let’s hope Bowman is a little more patient than us.

Granted, Boqvist is very young and still has time to shore up the weaknesses. But I also feel like "much better defensively" to the eye test is simply less porous.

Defensively, Boqvist is not a top 4 defenseman period. He has enough gifts offensively that it is worth the pain to allow him to learn and improve defensively on the job, painful as that may be to watch. Especially during a playoff run. He was on the ice and in the territory for three goals against last night. That is not a coincidence.

I hate to take a young player and put him in a box, his ability to play without the puck has been such an upgrade since last year, he's reading the opposing teams plays and anticipating where the puck is going to be better than anyone other than #2 on this team, to say he wont be a top 4 dman is a bit premature. Many thought the same thing about Keith, but you can't sleep on a dman who wants to win and learn/focus on being more concerned on playing defense than offense.

are these players physically going between Rockford and chicago? Or are these maybe just paper transactions? While both teams are inactive

I would imagine that management would want the players reassigned to the Hogs to actually play, but even if it was only a paper transaction, I'm sure the league would bar those players from practicing and traveling with the Hawks.

Both the Hawks and Hogs play on Saturday. For some reason I thought the Hogs also played on Sunday but they don't.

If Suter concentrated on playing the strong side of Fast's stick we might of went into overtime, unfortunately he didn't, looked like he was watching the play and drifted out of position, and no points for the Hawks. To bad, it shows 1 guy can (frank) it all up if he doesn't know what to do

My guess is Vinny is just insurance if Sodaberg, Carpenter, Janmark are traded without a nhl player coming back. Hawks don t have really any nhl ready forwards at Rockford outside of maybe Entwhistle.
