With affirmation from analyst Kendall Coyne-Schofield during the broadcast, the Blackhawks need to stop generating turnovers and offside calls at the blueline. Alex DeBrincat is a main culprit.

You don’t need affirmation for the obvious. Also, that was one of the worst broadcasts I have ever heard. Kendall was bad, no energy, it was impossible to get excited.

Idk, I liked it better than Pat and Edzo yukking it up with their hack (being really generous there) comedy routine for three periods.

Someone needs to tell them both that saying something louder in slightly comical version of your own voice only works if what you're saying is funny to begin with.

Actually appreciated Kendall's more subdued delivery than say AJ Mleczko's jivey announcer voice.

Max Shalunov leads the KHL in goal scoring in the playoffs, with 7 goals in 13 games.

A real GM would get a 1st round pick plus an A-level prospect. I’d expect Stan could trade him for a 4th.

Spot on blog as usual.. I was drawn to your comment about Kane and his uninspired play as of late. If memory serves, he was kind of pouty and uninspired at the beginning of the season and things did not go well for the team. Being in the leadership role he has assumed, this attitude reversal must be adjusted, as the youngsters obviously take their cue from him. Since we do not know when or if the Captain will return, is it weighing too much on his mind - i.e. I do not us winning or contending for a cup without Toews..

Thanks, Silvy.

IMO, Kane's uninspiring play is likely not a factor of leading the team since he's one of many alternate captains and not the captain. Maybe he's the de facto captain but the leadership group seems solid enough to pull their weight to guide the youngsters.

Yet, I don't doubt at all the sentiment you shared about Toews' value on a contender. He's a proven winner and leader who brings intangibles to the team that most captains in the NHL are far from matching.

New blog! A look at Boqvist's exponential growth, where it may come from, and what this means for the other Blackhawks youth.
