There ya go .. a true optimist in the house. I wish I had your optimism. I did post TK is a marginal top 6 forward, so he has room to grow but this has been a tough year for him. I also posted Farabee was potentially a top 6 forward, but he has slipped big time over the past few weeks, so he is going to have to learn how to play consistently. Patrick and Lindblom are what they are, if either are still here next year I am sure thy might show some improvement, but they will struggle to consistently stay in a good top 9 IMO. Myers has the size, reach and skating skill, but he sucks, I have no belief in him.

I’m always optimistic ...but some things are pretty obvious. I think there’s a lot of promise with a lot of these kids, but for what ever reason there’s been a regression this year that I’m sure the Flyers never saw coming. They need to get some of these guys figured out because there is some really solid talent there. Could be a very interesting week ahead for the Flyers ....and then a very big summer ahead...actually a fall....

Flyers have 4 top ten drafted forwards ....so what’s your point ?

So, I'm curious....understanding that this is your view on the younger players, I'm curious to know what kind of changes you're expecting Fletcher to be able to make (that will make much of a difference)? You have 2 guys locked in with nmc, and a handful of other vets that are hard sells due to the money attached to them. If the younger players are all marginal in your view, realistically, how are you moving anybody on this roster? They can't just trade bad players for good ones, nor can they force teams to take a guy like Jake or JVR without matching money and players likely in similar situations.....so are you dealing prospects and picks? That's why as much as we all would like change, realistically it's going to be hard for Fletcher to pull off drastic changes....so if you can't really change the team, what do you change?

That’s ok...PT is of the mindset that the Flyers will have to acquire high draft picks in order to have a better chance to win it all. I simply was saying the Flyers already have a bunch. We just differ on what the Flyers should do next. I think they have enough assets to make this team a contender now. He thinks they should focus on acquiring more high end assets (draft picks) by doing another Quasi rebuild.

We just differ on what the Flyers should do next. I think they have enough assets to make this team a contender now. He thinks they should focus on acquiring more high end assets (draft picks) by doing another Quasi rebuild.

The defense desperately needs fixed. The mix is so bad. Morin and Ghost as a third pairing are the bright spot right now.

Very entertaining game and they came away as stone cold sellers. Fine by me swayman the easy first star. His rebound control was excellent

Maybe, I’m on the fence. It is rough having two young guys struggling paired together. I don’t like Sanheim on the PK. He seems like he should be a PP guy, but hasn’t proven to be better than Ghost or Provy there. It’s really all about fit, and a tough call. However, he is a good young defense who has big value in trade.

You misunderstood a joke.

Avs 2nd line: Built through trade, but not as good as 1s line
Avs 1st line: 2 top stars, built through top ten drafts, better than 2nd line

Ergo: trades and drafts are both good strategies for building a team, but drafting high is what produces the elite players.

Blow it up for Pete’s sake. How much longer do we need to realize they are not close to good enough.
