Sounds like Jan pulled a Taffer on the last blog and SHUT IT DOWN
Anyway, I would put this offense against anyone in the league when it's clicking. The fact it is the third time in the past couple weeks we have gotten 8+ goals is dumbfounding.
When the defense catches up the the offense, the league will have their hands full with us |

Great win, the offense is humming right now. Loved the balance in ice time in the top 9, the kid line got better and better as the game went on as a result. Really want to be a believer in Chytil again. He truly was the best forward before he got hurt and is showing positive signs again. That pass to Buch was a thing of beauty and that’s exactly what’s been lacking in his game. Can’t do it all on your own, kid! LGR!! |

Great writeup, Jan! Thanks for fitting this in with how busy work has been! We do appreciate it
It will definitely be tough to make the playoffs, but stranger things have happened. If they do miss them, hopefully the teaching moment will be about the games earlier in the year. There were too many missed opportunities to get points in one goal losses and giving up leads. If some of those games were flipped, we'd be in a much better position. Can't play monday morning QB though, so just come out flying to start next year.
That said, how can you not be down with what the Rangers are doing? Offense is rolling. Defense looks incredible. Shesty is the real deal. They're SO close, it's just a matter of time until they take the league by storm. |

I think the Pens can be caught. We are currently only 9 points behind them and we have a game in hand. It won't be easy, but I think they are going to start falling. We get hot they will be for the taking. Boston is starting their third string goalie for a bit, they don't get to play the Flyers every night.

I don't think it will be possible to catch Pitt. They only have five "challenging" games the rest of the way. One against us, two against BOS, two against WSH. All other remaining games are against NJ, BUF, and Philly. It's why those early losses to them are so brutal.
Boston on the other hand...they're definitely catchable. Four games against WSH, three against the Islanders, two against us and two against Pitt. That's a total of 11 "challenging games" They're trending down, we're trending up.
But it won't be without a challenge. Five games against the Islanders, two against BOS, one against PITT and two against WSH. 10 tough games. But we've played strong teams well of late, so there is a chance. |

We get the Devils right after the trade deadline with 4 straight games. Hopefully they sell a few pieces and we can sweep that. If that happens, hold onto your butts |

Yup, Pitt is 2-3 vs Philly this year. It's possible, which is why they play the games! |

He is now tied with Hedman for most points amongst defensemen. He has a great chance to lead the league |

I gotta say I am so pleased with Fox, especially since the ADA thing went down. It would have been nice to have a producing ADA here but they might have been competing for PP1 time. |

Honestly I always laugh at the awards, especially Selke trophy. Supposed to go to the best defensive forward but instead always just goes to a good defensive forward with the most points |
