And Pres of Hockey Op's. Pretty well sums it up. - VanHockeyGuy
Podz line just scored again. Another point for Podz in an elimination game.
Hopefully the current GM is paying attention and seeing that his lineman Malte Stromwall is a free agent at the end of the year also. |

He isn't exactly lighting it up this year, or last year. |

I didn't say throw plugs back into the mix. You are the one thinking that only Gudbranson types throw hits.
Fatburger threw the most hits per 60 last season.
Whatever though, we think differently on this. - manvanfan
I'm the one saying only Guddy type throw hits, yet you're using Fant – who's currently playing in the KHL as he's not good enough for the NHL – as an example?
Oki doki.
I'm just saying relying on "hits" and "intangibles" isn't a great bar to set for a "good" defender – that's how Guddy came to the Canucks in the first place... clearly different ways of approaching this

It's a good core so far, but the main problem is that you listed 8 players and only 1 of them is a defenseman - NorthNuck
True as I feel we are in of a bit of a WPG situation where beyond Hughes-Schmidt the D needs a compete revamp. They did it around Morrisey and Pionk there we can do the same and Hughes is way above Pionk and Morrisey. OJ will slot in and hopefully Edler is gone soon. Myers maybe to Seattle if we are lucky. Building around Hughes shouldn't be all that difficult at this point. We have some good prospects coming up too. |

Last season he was 28th in points in the league. 20th in PPG.
This year he seems to have struggled a bit more. He wouldn't cost the team anything to bring him in. Not saying he would become an NHL star but right now.
Like the Leafs adding Barabonov it's worth a shot. |

I went to BestBuy to pickup a soundbar for the TV. The saleskid had some hideous pop crap on. Asked him to put on One and Only from Empire to test it out. After about 10 minutes of trying to find this Oldman music, he loaded it up and cracked it. Soundbar sold!😁 - carsonagenic

I would say up there with LA more than Chicago for the talent at the time of cups is what we are looking at with our young core. If they can get the support they need, they have a real shot at a cup during their prime years. - Retinalz
Ok, so what I’m saying is that as fans, if you believe your top (young) players are as good as the equivalent around the league, you should expect them to be paid accordingly. To say Hughes should be paid $4m because he isn’t really a defenseman is just setting yourself up to be disappointed.
Can Jim get some lower priced bridge deals done? Maybe, but if they are as good as we hope, it will cost way more to do short and then long deals. Risks both ways. |

What would you like me to say, you have taken what I said and turned it into something I'm not even talking about.
I'm not making fun of you but you keep telling me things that I'm not saying.
I don't know if I can explain what I'm saying any better. If you don't get it. That's fine. |

Yep. I've pretty much have all copies of it but the best version is the gold DCC CD by Steve Hoffman. Unreal...sounds better than the vinyl the mastering is so good.
Old Paradigms hilarious dude. Hope they sound good. Have Dynaudio C2s here and man they rock but do everything well...I should hope so for the money lol - LordHumungous
They sound nice even though the capacitors are still burning in. Day and night actually. Got to teach my daughter a little about soldering in the process and how frequencies are divided. |

Podkolzin, Vey, Stromwall have been on the ice for both of SKA's goals.
They have played the least amount in the game other than the 7th D man and 13th F.
There is only two players on both teams that have played less than Podz in the game. |

Poodz gets a shift and scores on the EN. 3 point night.
He did play almost 5 min in the 3rd. 12 min on the night. 3rd least among SKA forwards. |

Excited to see what this kid brings at the NHL level. I see him as a Horvat type bull on the wing....

Does anyone here posting actually have a job? I only work when back in Canada and chose the projects that I want to do. No offence intended, just seems like a very lively thread for a bunch of old retired guys. |

30. Tony Amonte, coaching at Thayer Academy, would like to get into player development at the NHL level.
“I love going to the rink,” he said. “We have a new rink, and all of our kids want to be out there, learning. That’s something I’d love to do, and I’d consider everything.”
-------------
Maybe Van should look at getting Tony into Utica. Asst to Ryan Johnson or something. |
