Says the guy who for the past year has proudly been anti-mask and flouted the social distancing/gathering rules. Awesome.
So your arguments are... That covid is just the flu and nothing serious so we don't need all the restrictions or masks...
Combined with, the virus so contagious and serious that masks and restrictive measures don't effectively work anyway so they are nothing more than a way for people to show that they are virtuous.

, the NHL is targeting the end of next week for the Vancouver Canucks to return to game action. Still a fluid situation. - VanHockeyGuy
my only question is: does vegas pull canuck games from betting or do they stack the odds heavily?
It is surprising. Related (?) I thought they would get some cap cushion from having all the players out, but capfriendly shows them with $0 space.
Anyone know how players being on COVID protocol impacts cap hit and if the Canucks are getting relief? - SlightlyOffside
This explains it, also explains why Baertschi is not being recalled. Via The Athletic:
The club still has to be mindful of managing the salary cap and their NHL roster, even with 14 players and multiple taxi-squad players non-rostered as part of the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol. Players on the NHL protocol remain on the cap, so the club will need to use the COVID-19 exemption rule, which permits teams to add players to their roster in a salary cap neutral way, so long as that player is below $1 million in salary, to flesh out their roster in the days and weeks ahead.
A team source indicated to The Athletic on Saturday that the club will likely wait a day or two before calling up additional players from their American League affiliate club the Utica Comets, awaiting further guidance from the league on the length of the shutdown that the team is facing.
Additional reinforcements may be added at that juncture, although there aren’t too many credible NHL-level call-ups with the Comets as it stands. And one of the most notable, Sven Baertschi, isn’t eligible to recalled under the COVID-19 exemption rules since his cap hit exceeds $1 million.

i've never bet against the canucks but emotions got no place in betting. - RealityChecker
lol very true. When I first started betting horses I hit a few for $6600 bucks and figured man this is easy could quit my job...then the emotions take over...
Over 4000 covid deaths in Brazil today. - NorthNuck
Posted about this and everything else coming to light last week. P1 will be a real issue for BC. The vaccine roll out will be tough to combat this monster. Forget about fans in the stands even into 2022. So guess no pressure for Canuck success.

That's why I don't bet Canucks unless it's to win but this season is done, either literally or metaphorically. I'll take value if it's there betting wise.
Opens up huge opportunity for more scraps in the bottom 6 too. Looking good.

Don't mind if they sign Veasy and Gaudette. As for character vets seems they are real cheap now around $1M.
So maybe they add 1 to replace bloated contracts. Perhaps find another LTIR retiring excuse for Rouse and LE too. Maybe Covid effect ...? Like feeling lethargic can't be medically challenged now.
