I don't like it. Put Palms with Barzal - Vukota
I’m with you but I’m sure trotz is going to do some juggling before he figures it out. With that said he’ll most likely end up with what we all want when all is said and done like he always does |

I still can't believe they made this deal last night. Somehow I think he finds a way to resign in the offseason, means goodbye for somebody like Bailey or hopefully not Beau and they would still need to move other pieces but if he fits in like we think he will I can see it happening |

Barry Trotz raves about versatility with both Palmieri and Zajac. Palmieri a RW in NJ but played LW with Ducks. Zajac a center that has also played both wings and essentially told Trotz, "play me wherever you need."
Trotz hinted good likelihood they start on a line together.
Huh...that'll take some reworking of the top-three lines. I figured they'd just plug the two of them in at LW on lines 1 and 3. - UIF
So could be Zajac, Pageau, Palmieri with Wahlstrom to the top line, or (less likely)Wahlstrom, Zajac, Palm and Pageau joins the top line? |

I'm thinking Pageau, Palmieri, Zajac on a line (with either Zajac or Pageau centering), and then Wahlstrom to second line RW, and Bailey probably to first line LW.
Not what I'd do! But that's how I could see it going if Trotz is set on playing Zajac and Palmieri together. But who knows...he says a lot of things and then the lineup looks different by game time. |

For who? - Vukota
Hawks get: Brett Connolly, Riley Stillman, Henrik Borgstrom, 2021 7th RD pick (FLA)
Panthers get: Lucas Wallmark Lucas Carlsson

I could definitely see Bailey being moved to the top line, justified that he would defensively fill the 'magnificent defensive role' played by Leo on that line.
Of course he could sit Wally in favor of Leo
I would bet on Pageau staying at center since Zajac has a history at wing |

I'm sure we'd all take that well.
But your first point is what I was thinking...the whole "balance out the line" thing they were going on about with Leo. |

My guess is that, on some line, Bailey moves to the left side.
Maybe we see:
Bailey-Barzal-Eberle
Zajac-Nelson-Palmieri
Beau-Pageau-Wahlstrom

Is Duh a winger or a center?
By the way, I would not be shocked if Bailey is less effective on that line in certain ways than, dare I say it, Leo. |

Something like this is what I was thinking - and I think Schwein out together last night. I’ve said it a bunch but I don’t like three same shots on a line. But I never played with pros, so take that for what it’s worth. |

Would absolutely love Wahlstrom on the top line. Big body, loves to shoot, drives to the net...would be perfect you’d think. |

Isles are gonna be really right-shot heavy. Palmieri played a lot of LW in Anaheim, so I'm sure he can adapt if they ask him to. |

Barzal and Eberle are way too dominant at 5v5 to split up |

He's also a decent backchecker. It should be his ultimate spot, but Barry may understandably take it slow there |

If that is in fact what the line looks like, and it seems like a very reasonable possibility, then I just want to see Bailey fighting for the puck in the corners and along the boards. If he reverts to the Bailey of old, then that line is going to be too easy to play against. |

I mean if Wahlstrom has played LW at some point and they're comfortable moving him there then I'm all for it but that one seems unlikely to me. |
