Even if they get rid of 10M. That leaves them with 6.5M in cap space to sign 8-11 players.
They tried to trade Johnson and a 1st wasn't enough to get rid of him.
Nothing that can't be fixed but the likelihood of them being a team of superstars next season is a bit unlikely. They may be the new Boston. Very high top end with struggles in the bottom.
Coleman and Goodrow after their cup wins will want to get paid.
I doubt any teams are going to be offer first round picks unless it's for Brayden Point. - manvanfan
If he didn't have a NMC I would say they should trade Stamkos. Clearly don't need him with the current team composition.
This is why when JB said "we are going to wait and see" a few weeks ago. He should have said, come and get them. We will take anything for anyone. - manvanfan
That’s just not realistic. They can’t force trades. There has been almost no activity. Buying teams were waiting to see who would be selling this year. Due to all the inter division games this has been a season like no other.
Informative as always. I appreciate the work you put in to keep us wankers up-to date.
BTW, you said Benning mentioned about a lock-out shortened season, did you mean Covid-shortened, or did Benning a tally call it a lockout shortened season.
Asked about the decline in Pearson's on-ice stats this season, Benning blamed the strangeness of the lockout-shortened season.

Remember the year he sent out an email saying which players were available?

Should have hired an infectious disease expert last year.
No need, I understand. I just have a completely different view than you of this particular contract. - Load Management
I tend to agree with you, which is one of the good things about this site, we can all have our opinion without having to be labeled as gang members, or at least we shouldn't be.
Do I have concerns about certain aspects and direction of this team, yes, I am particularly concerned about the Pearson signing, no.
What i am a bit confused about is, Pouty had apparently asked for another winger, to play with and the masses accepted that, mostly, Bo has been pretty quiet on that front, even when they moved Boeser off his line and demoted his other linemate and closest teammate, Baertschi.
Now, his closest teammate and linemate is re-signed at a reasonable contract and term.
I will say again, I was okay if they traded him, which I thought was unlikely, because of injury and covid, or if they chose to re-sign him.

Quit being reasonable.
You’re going to damage your trolling rep

Miller-pete-boeser has statistically been one of the most dominant lines in hockey, kinda hard to believe unsubstantiated claims about petey when he is on such a successful line. I personallt think he's been hurt all year, turned out worse than he thiught
Cases are tripling but ICU visits are mysteriously staying the same. Hmmm. I wonder if the animals at the Vancouver Zoo have received their vaccinations yet

Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying here.
It was prior to the outbreak, but we were still in the hunt, having just won 8 of 10.

Just won 8 of 11 - JB "alright league, we're a bubble team and we're open for business!!!" Yup that would've gone over well in the dressing room. "Playoff hunt? f*ck that - It's just business!!! We need draft picks to appease the fans!!"
It'd be fun to see how that would play in the future for any FA thinking about signing here.
Also imaging JB coming out and saying "My entire team has had covid for the last 2 weeks but I'm trying to trade anyone that hasn't lived up to their contract...." then he gets blamed for being 'too humane" OR if not he'd get blamed for "not keeping his cards close to his chest"
I swear you can't make this sh&t up with this genius fanbase we have. Stopping by to read the comments from time to time is absolutely fascinating. These are the opinions and suggestions of actual grown men, some with families and morgages....just out roaming freely in public. Mind blowing.

Almost had me...

Have a good one gents.

I know you watched the games. They played better hockey in Feb when they were losing than they did in March when they were winning. They were never a bubble team.
If your mind is blown, it must not be all that strong to begin with.
I would add, the draft picks aren’t for the fans. If you believe that you truly are stupid.
