Would have been nice to squeeze a prospect out of them. But finally getting to the glut of rhd and getting an asset back for a player who was probably gonna walk, I just can’t complain.

They also retained 50% on Staal and didn't retain anything on Montour. I think that's the difference.

Will Borgen, who has begun skating following forearm surgery in February, will not join the Sabres on their three-game road trip. He will skate in Buffalo and could rejoin team in a week.
