Because they arnt adding any talent with what they are trading?
Miller/Irwin/Ullmark/Eakin/Reider
Those pieces are not bringing anything back of value for next year b - ImThatGuy
Most of those pieces aren't worth anything. Trades made at the deadline are rarely hockey trades because contenders don't want to give up players. Even if we got a first for Hall that player isn't helping us for years. Again, it was an auction. You can't jedi mind trick people into giving you more than what they want to give. We also don't know if Hall forced his hand.

I don't know if we can judge KA on this deal as we don't know the details. It was an auction - how do we know this wasn't the best offer? We don't know if Hall forced his hand. Lets judge him on the moves he makes to build the team. - Slump Buster
1. Flat cap, no one has any space to do anything.
2. Hall had a NMC
3. Hall, a guy strictly used for offense, didn't provide offense.
4. All insiders had him worth a 3rd round pick.
5. There was a clear bidding war, and it says a lot about Hall's value when this is the return.
6. Bjork is whatever, and Kevyn has a lot of ability to reshape the roster this year.
All this butthurt is simply people lining up at the Peace Bridge because Kevyn didn't get anything for Hall. Your disappointment should be directed at Hall for not actually doing anything. The name recognition far outweighs his real value. Like Staal, who has also been useless, spare an OT goal in his first game.
Hall's performance is more disappointing than what he netted in a trade. Let's also try to keep in mind we gave up nothing to get him and Lazar. Bjork will have a new opportunity under a new coach, and you all should be pretty familiar with what can happen with players under a new coach and system.
Everyone 'giving up' on this franchise because of a (frank)ing trade. So the last ten years didn't do it, but getting a 2nd for Hall did? Grow up.

Great post. Saw a lot of the same during the second period yesterday. I think people have lost perspective because of the Ralph stank. We've bottomed out and the sun has come out just for a bit. A month ago we would have been thrilled with this. Things are pointing up.

The disappointment is holding onto a coach who was the worst coach in history.
The GM had to convince the owners to fire the coach because the coach had more power than the GM.
Krueger set this team back so far.
He destroyed the value of any player on this team.
It starts there,
having no scouting staff currently.
Having no front office.
Having your star center disgruntled and injured.
But sure the Hall trade is what we are mad about.

I don't know how much more we can give up. I guess maybe a forward, but without claiming a guy like Mete, could you trade Irwin? He's the kind of cheap depth teams are looking for.

Lost in all of this : The feelings of one Anders Bjork ... that poor, poor bastard.
Can you imagine ? You're playing for one of the best franchises in NHL history, probably awesome to be in that city, and boom ... you're traded to Buffalo
Jesus...that's gotta suck.
So you think YOU'RE having a sh!tty day ? Imagine being him right about now. |

Everything but the bolded is why people should be angry, yet all the sudden post Hall trade, now everyone sounds butthurt because of the bolded. This is the issue. |

10 years of the Pegulas driving this franchise into "Hockey hell" for folks as old as I, are why some fans are fed up!
Certainly not because of "one trade".
It's the conglomerate of ineptness.
When you have been a fan for over 50 years and this is what we are still enduring, well.....50 years is one half of a century.
10 years is a decade.
It has nothing to do with people needing to "grow up".
I'll leave with this.
Life is not infinite.

I thought a 2nd and a prospect for Hall retained.
They didn’t even get that.
They got a 2 million dollar fringe 4th line player and had to give up and additional asset to get that. |

Every single person in this organization deserves the blame, and that is including Adams who brought in Hall to electrify the first line with Eichel, that failed. He brought in Staal to be a second line center, that failed. He let a coach continue to be employed and self destruct this team when all of us "idiots" screamed for him to be canned.
What was the strategy with Hall when he was signed, shouldn't it have been well if he scores 30 with Jack we can resign him, if he doesn't he's a trade chip. Now shouldn't he have been on the trade block over a month ago when the teams season was over? The trade is what it is but for everyone defending Adams give me a break. |

Doin my best, but don't let anyone fool you. The Hall trade is less disappointing than his value and what he brought to this team. But the real issue will always be the guy that owns the franchise and what he's done to it.

How about don’t swap bottom 6 players by doubling the salary of the one your giving up?
It’s a terrible trade. Period. |
