Use a broker team like the smart, successful teams are doing - sbroads24
including a 3rd team would lessen buffalo's return though
and probably is much harder when the player has a full nmc

From what I heard, they did try the above, but to no avail. |

How? It enhanced the return for the Foligno and Savard trades for Columbus. |

I am hoping we move miller, ullmark, sheahan reider, and eakin today - homiedclown
Based on the hall trade. Ever gm in the league will be trying to get players for pennies |

Did it enhance them or just allow it to happen? Boston would have to have been willing to give some 3rd team a 4th round pick or something.

If Bjork is not on this team, he costs 800K (or a Lazar contract) against the cap. - ImThatGuy
bjork IMO is a third liner though |

What you said about not nearly being good enough. Yeah they could use to add some, but if those kids keep improving nobody knows how good or bad they could be next year. |

For what it's worth, a third party reached out to Miller last summer to gauge his interest in returning to Buffalo. After some coaxing, he was willing to listen, but any thought of talks ended with Krueger nixing the possibility in the bud.

john wawrow has possibly the least cred of any reporter in buffalo
he ALWAYS makes tweets like this to get people riled up, and it just happens to never be something provable

I have a hard time believing Miller would come back east. His family / life is on the west coast |

I have an extremely difficult time believing the 4 lines I outlined above constitute a playoff team.
Does a line of Olofsson - Cozens - Ruotsalainen sound like a good idea? |

I disagree completely on this.
He has 2 goals this year on a good Boston team.
He was given the opportunity to play scoring line minutes and failed miserably.
Lazar has more goals than him

If we go with the following 2 bottom lines:
Asplund - Mittelstadt - Thompson
Bjork - Girgensons - Okposo
What that leaves the team with for the top 6 is the following:
Skinner - Eichel - Reinhart
Ruotsalainen - Cozens - Olofsson
That is not nearly good enough. - kingcong39
Still moves to be made, and should be made.
I’m basing Adams off:
Do his moves bring in/create the culture of players wanting to be Sabres.
So far Granato has pushed the narrative on majority of the current roster, youth is standing out.
It would be nice to see part of the veteran core moved today. |

he had 19 points in 58 games last season
played with coyle a lot this year
he is a legit third liner on a team like ours |

I don't know how you can say this. When the Bills sale went through he apparently made a lot of contacts high places and he has had a lot of information over the last few years. |

Could be, might not be. Cozens first game back and him and Rusto looked decent together. Still would like to put a little experience at RW on that line. But that could come in the offseason. |
