Hearing Anaheim asking for a 1st-Plus for both Rickard Rakell and Josh Manson. Would consider a top prospect as a 1st but would want two. #Flytogether - Stripes77
Josh Manson is the kinda D teams get a hard on for. Rakell being young and cost controlled should be worth a late first too.

Maybe we could give up a 1st for Manson then trade him for a 3rd next year? |

5 @ 5.5
I am not saying I love it but he has us over a barrel now. If they weren't willing to go higher they would be trading him

I’m actually scared to sign him to a long term deal. He’s been good this year but he has been wildly inconsistent the last few years. He’s also 27 |

3 years $5 million per
His injury history scares me

There you have it. His demands aren't outrageous, and he wants to be here. - TheSabresTaco
2 yr./$9.5M would be a good contract for all involved...yes, i know demko, $5M |

Here is the thing. Foligno and Palmeri were not on the market anymore. They are no longer in the equation.
Hall is going to go play on Bostons top line and most likely produce. - ImThatGuy
No he won't.

for rentals, absolutely, there's pretty much just the market - robz228
That's sort of ridiculous to say.
You don't think any team wanted Hall more than Palmeri, Savard, Foligno?
Boston had had apparent interest in Hall since the offseason
Also this --
@Schopptalk
Are there really no conditions on the Hall trade? How many games he plays, how many goals, how far Boston goes, etc.? Like, Boston wouldn't have flipped to a #1 if it won the Cup?
They couldn't get any condition to potentially make it a 1st?
It's insane man. Adams got worked |

I’m not sure but as much as everyone wants to blame Ralph for the disaster season I really hope the players don’t use that as an excuse. If they all look into the mirror at the same time they will clearly see the problems were on a long list.
The guys that are now starting to play their best hockey of the year should tell you either of 2 things. One it’s fools gold and the other is they just needed a chance to play over a high priced vet. |

I do this, with maybe Raanta as a backup. Guy who you can get cheap but can play well when Ullmark can't.

Dunno...I just hope he stays. Not only is he a big, good goalie...he's just such a likable guy. |

Let's not pretend I defend this organization. I'm defending reality, and what deals this year and years past were worth. |

@john_wawrow
's report that the Sabres are not trading goalie Linus Ullmark today.
Two sides will continue to talk about a contract extension for Ullmark. And to clear up another rumor: there has been no talk at all about Ullmark testing the market first. |

Foligno for the Leafs, yes. Palmieri instead of Hall, no. But they used a middle 6 C and a middle 6 F for a late first. Too bad Hall didn't (frank)ing do anything this year. - TheSabresTaco
Statistically, yes, but also looked disengaged and has lost a step.
I thought we'd get a bit more, too.
But EVERYONE on these boards has seen Hall's play this year. And has cried and whined about it. How many "Get Hall outta here now!!" posts have we seen in the last month? And every single pro scout in the league has seen his play, too.
But Adams got "fleeced". Good Lord. |

adams might be a terrible gm but he's going to be more successful than the last two because for the first time in forever we have developed players outside of top 2 overall picks contributing in the NHL - robz228
He didnt do anything other than take the job to obtain those players.... lets see how he drafts cause he can't trade or sign players for S*IT.

If you don't think Manson is worth more than Montour, and Rakell is worth more than Hall, then you have not been paying attention.

he didn’t get fleeced. in the grand scheme of things this isn’t a huge deal. we signed a guy and got a pick for it. move on.

conditionals is a good point i hadn't thought of
but as far as getting worked, hall has been held out for a week, probably in conversations for over a month
in what world does this lead to adams not getting a feel of his true value? did he just never present current best offer to other teams? how would this even be possible? |

So far mixed bag. Quinn is questionable still. But Peterka
Glad you spent the fourth rounder or whatever it was to trade up to get him. |

I'd agree but that would suggest that I'm defending the awesome job the Sabres are doing, being in the President's Trophy race for the 10th year in a row and all. Also, they should have never fired Ralph Krueger and Terry should be the official GM.
Go Sabres!

I think term is something to more worried about
Demko getting 5 years at $5 million makes the $4.25 not happening
