Just repeating what your phoney insider was spouting off. The Sabres got what Hall was worth in this buyers market and exactly what anyone with half a brain in their head was expecting. If I were a Sabres fan I wouldn’t be disappointed in the return I would be more upset about Hall turning in a garbage performance and hurting his value. - Cptmjl
that was a day we're Bouncing ideas around but Continue
He didnt do anything other than take the job to obtain those players.... lets see how he drafts cause he can't trade or sign players for S*IT. - DirtyDan
yes i know, his relative success is going to be because of the previous gm's drafts
just like how one of the reasons botterill failed is tim murray left him no draft picks

he didn’t get fleeced. in the grand scheme of things this isn’t a huge deal. we signed a guy and got a pick for it. move on. - IceColdBeer
There will be no moving on, I will be leading a march to the Peace Bridge today and demanding that we should have gotten more in a trade for a rotten watermellon.
I’m not sure but as much as everyone wants to blame Ralph for the disaster season I really hope the players don’t use that as an excuse. If they all look into the mirror at the same time they will clearly see the problems were on a long list.
The guys that are now starting to play their best hockey of the year should tell you either of 2 things. One it’s fools gold and the other is they just needed a chance to play over a high priced vet. - Camel
you haven't watched this team...he took a team built similar to a thoroughbred and turned them into a mudder...taylor hall, 2 goals...jack eichel, 2 goals, dahlin 1 goal, minus-27...
ralph totally screwed this team by his insidious insistence upon playing a style that was totally at odds with the most of the high-end talent he was given
You don't think any team wanted Hall more than Palmeri, Savard, Foligno?
Boston had had apparent interest in Hall since the offseason

@Schopptalk
Are there really no conditions on the Hall trade? How many games he plays, how many goals, how far Boston goes, etc.? Like, Boston wouldn't have flipped to a #1 if it won the Cup?
They couldn't get any condition to potentially make it a 1st?
It's insane man. Adams got worked - sbroads24
This is a good point. Just make it a ridiculous condition and the fans would feel better. Playoff MVP and cup win gets a first
Its exactly what the Sabres need. Leadership and effort. - Boss34
I’m on the Foligno wagon! I want both of them here next year. And wood too. Give me 3 players with strong ties to Buffalo that will battle for the crest on their chest!
It would help if Okposo could be moved to ltir via raging jock itch. And I don’t know how you pry wood out of nj, but I’m trying. Should have done it last year!

conditionals is a good point i hadn't thought of
but as far as getting worked, hall has been held out for a week, probably in conversations for over a month
in what world does this lead to adams not getting a feel of his true value? did he just never present current best offer to other teams? how would this even be possible? - robz228
Because it’s a lot more complex then just accepting the best offer at any given time.
If it was that simple and like you said he’s been having conversations for a while, why wasn’t it done immediately?
You don’t think it’s possible he gets a 1st for Hall maybe a month + ago when the season was over and he had 2 goals in 20 games rather than 37?
Or you don’t think it’s possible a team gets desperate today when they miss out on guys?
I’d be willing to bet we see a deadline deal today where Colorado or St. Louis trade their first to add something for a run

Risto to Carolina
Fluery - Nedeljkioc(Spelling) to Buffalo - Buff36
That's high 5 worthy. Not sure about Fleury. Nedeljkovik was on waivers in January. Cool. Also I think they want to trade Fleury because they can't protect him. They probably just want a pick for him.
