This entire board complains about every topic mentioned in the post. Point is, no one is ever happy. And the fact that we have picks or not shouldn't be the reason we despise the Buffalo Sabres. - TheSabresTaco I

Taylor Hall says "one of the biggest reasons" he wanted to play in Boston was to not be the focal point. "I never made myself the focal point. Those were the situations I was in." Said he signed in Buffalo "to be one of the guys."
OH MY GOD - Stripes77
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You get paid the 3rd most on the team, you better be a (frank)ing focal point. Hall experiment over, glad it's so. |

Halls press conference is quite confusing
(Just reading the tweets / his comments )
If sounds like he told Adams to make him a Bruin |

Good player with high salary doesn't want to be focal point.
Fascinating.

Also the Sabres have been playing better without those guys in the lineup - Stripes77
Ya now imagine if eichel don't get hurt
And Stahl is some what good
Still don't make playoffs
And we don't see these kids starting to develop
Way this season has gone might ya blessing |

Adams was moving the chess pieces around the stock market board like a riverboat gambler. He was using the player obtained with the Pegulajet and the Murrency and retaining half the salary in Bottcoin to maximize the treasure trove of assets they got in return for the trade. They are Eich-ing the long game in Hockey Heaven |

Not that I'm looking very hard, but Connor McJesus has only made the playoffs 2/5 years.. Not exactly your question, but theres that.
Also... Taylor Hall..

Having a healthy Eichel would have made Hall's value a 1st, I think.

HAll is confusing.
Scoring chances created through controlled entries per 60 this season:
- Hall: 6.268
- Pasta: 3.163
- Marchand: 3.024
Primary shot assist per 60 for this season:
- Hall: 14.9
- Marchand: 14.46
- Krejci: 13.84
- Pasta: 12.22
Successful zone entry carry-in % this season:
- Hall: 70%
- Krejci: 68%
- Marchand: 60%
- Pasta 58%
High danger shot assists per 60 this season:
1.) Hall - 4.526
2.) Artemi Panarin - 3.974
3.) Connor McDavid - 3.845
He is an unreal neutral zone threat with outstanding zone entry numbers that lead to significant quality opportunities. He is a play maker begging for a team that isn't a complete dumpster fire. |

Took Mackinnon 6 years to win one playoff series.
Matthews and Barkov still haven’t won a playoff series despite playoff appearances.
Tavares, off the top of my head, has one playoff series win his entire career and made the playoffs once maybe twice during his tenure in Long Island.
How many playoff points did ROR have in his last 5 years before he won a Conn Smythe ?
It’s a team sport. This isn’t golf or tennis. It’s not Eichel’s fault he got drafted to this organization that has not been able to surround him worth a poop |

Here is the thing. Foligno and Palmeri were not on the market anymore. They are no longer in the equation.
Hall is going to go play on Bostons top line and most likely produce. - ImThatGuy
2nd line player on the Bruins.
Who is hall going to knock off the best line in hockey.
Pasta?
Bergeron?
Marchant? |

winning a series is one thing
to play 6 seasons and not even sniff the playoffs is another
again 1 superstar nhl player to never make the nhl playoffs after the first 6 seasons
just 1
and don't give me some guy traded for adam larsson straight up as a superstar
would matthews still be in toronto if they did not sniff the playoffs after 6 seasons
or towes
or kopitar
or crosby
or stamkos
etc
etc
etc

I would expect at least 3 or 4 names of super stars that never sniffed the nhl playoffs after 6 years

i love the trade for boston. if GMs valued this stuff higher it would have been a no brainer 1st round pick.
even our analytical savior kyle dubas has a hardon for guys like cody ceci

Right, so how on gods earth is that his fault?
They've been so far off that even if Eichel was the league MVP they don't come within 5 points of a spot in any of these 6 years |
